Hello Dear Paul, mmMeKitty,On The Road, Dools and everyone…

Good Morning everyone, oh yummy Paul, I do like Kentucky Fried Chicken, one of about the only “fast foods” I do like…I took a plate…a rather large plate and I’m going to sit under the gigantic Weeping Willow tree outback of our cafe and consume it while I’m listening to the birds and watching the beautiful swans, Ducks and Geese float on top of our  flowing stream….Thank goodness the stream has central heating all through it…and it nice and warm for them…I might even sit with my feet inside the warm water…..

I really do hope you’re doing okay Paul🤗… why don’t you and everyone visiting the cafe join me..(only if you want to) and we can all spot an unusual shaped cloud and make a little story about what our minds interpret that cloud to represent to us….I saw one here the other day, it really looked like an Elephant, after a few minutes, the Elephant twisted and turned until it took the form of a Dragon…That’s when I decided that I would close my eyes and jump on Dragon’s back and “fly” across the sky with it…arms out wide, wind blowing my hair….I felt free and carefree for a while….It  didn’t last long because the “Dragon”  Cloud started breaking up and I started tumbling back down to my cosy warm spot under the Willow tree😁, so I then continued eating my Kentucky Fried Chicken…

I could sit here all day, but..Hmm don’t like the but word , but anyway, I I have my small house to clean a bit today…and 2 little fur girls that are desperately in need of a nice warm bubble bath….

I really do hope that today is a good day for everyone…

Hugs everyone..🤗🤗🤗🤗🤗,

Grandy..

Hi Grandy and Everyone,

I like watching clouds, some days they change really rapidly in the wind and can be dispersed quickly. Other days they just sit there in the same spot for ages. I like the variety of colours in the clouds at the time of sunrise and sun set.

How is every one today? It would be lovely if there was a real place in every community like the BB Cafe where all were welcome and people cared for each other!

Hmm, that's a difficult thing for me to do these days, Grandy, but with my imagination, I can try.

I used to love watching clouds whenI was younger, seeing how they changed, or seeing one little one grow or another merge with a large cloud. I was very interested in the various types of clouds too.

... I'v'e got one, Grandy. I can see a big fluffy Persian Cat tangled in a ball of wool. Look, there are even a couple whiskers, & there - the tip of it's tail, just slowly curling up. & as I look some more, it's head turns towaards me, & I think I can see an eye in the fur. ...

It sounds to me like you had a wonderful day. It's been a while, so I'm very glad for you.

Hi Dools, this talk of cloud watching reminds me of happy times lying on the grass looking up, & for a time, nothing mattered.

Hi mmMekitty and all,

I remember talking to a child of about 8 or 10 years of age once about the changing clouds and seeing shapes in them. For some reason this really freaked the child out and she ran to her Mum for comfort. I certainly hadn't meant to scare her!

This morning there were no clouds in the sky at all when I went out walking, just a dome of beautiful hues of blue with a golden sun coming up over the horizon.

Hello to everyone here in the cafe, wishing you all a good day.

Today there were a few more real clouds around. It looked like it might rain for a while, then cleared up again. They were nice lumpy clouds of various sizes, all mixed up, like vegies & large dumplings in a soup. Then the soup was eaten?!

I had lived in an area where it was possible, (not likely, but possible) that a tornado might pass through. That's something I had feared, even dreaming about it, when I was little. Other that, the weather, including a fairly substantial dust storm while at kindergarten, I think, didn't scare me.

I think, however, I was taught to be afraid of taking risks, which meant doing many things other kids did, I was not to even attempt for fear of bruising myself.

I'd like to think the little girl's mum was able to comfort her child & then explain so she could understand the fluffy clouds up there are not scary.

Today, I gave in to my desire for some chicken & garlic butter balls, with the crispy crumb on the outside & the hot melted garlic butter centre, with not much chicken, but so yummy!  Would anyone like to share some with me?

Hi mmMekitty and all, the chicken and garlic butter balls sound delicious! I have a vegetable ad lentil soup, maybe we can share lunches!

The sky at sunrise this morning was amazing. I took photos on my phone but they did not do justice to the colours. The clouds were gorgeous. I also saw a couple of hot air balloons.

Hope everyone does okay today!

Hello Dear mmMeKitty, Dools and everyone….🤗..

Yes please, I’ll help you eat your Chicken and Garlic Balls, they sound a delicious combination….Did you make them yourself?…

Clouds always fascinated me as a child, It was my escape into a peaceful state….I would imagine that it was a different world, full of gentle cloud fairies and angels looking after a never ending assortment of weird and wonderful creatures…living in huge castles that constantly traveled around the world….of course as I got older my inner child’s imagination got shattered…as I learnt what clouds really are….but hey!… I’m elderly now and my inner child pops out every so often when I can manage to sit outside and just do nothing except watch those beautiful puffy white float gently along the beautiful deep blue of our universe…

Dools, I am so pleased you got to saw an amazing sunrise…I love that thin golden outer lining the winter sun’s rising can at times give to some clouds that are in the right position…

I made a chicken vegetable soup yesterday, have made enough for a few nights…I bought a cauliflower and I’m intending to break it up into medium to small florets then flour, egg and breadcrumb them…not really healthy but I do really enjoy cauliflower that way…I’ll drop some of into the cafe in a few days once I cook it all up…

I hope everyone has a good night tonight….

Hugs everyone..🤗

Hi all,

Chicken & garlic balls? Are the like little chicken Kiev bites? I make a pretty good minestrone I think, just like my Mum's.  Too me a while to get it right.  I need to make a big pot now that the weather is cooling.

Anyone have much on for the weekend? Any special Mother's Day activities?

Hello everyone

I like sharing! The world could do with more sharing.

Heheh no, I didn't make the chicken garlic balls myself. I haven't figured out how to get crumbs to stick to anything. Probably just as well, because I enjoys so many things with with crumbs on them. With the Chicken garlic balls , you'd really need to deep fry them, because, it would be near impossible to consistently turn them enough to get them to crispy brown evenly all over. I'm not getting a deep fryer. That seems a little risky for me to try.

I didn't lose my fascination with clouds after learning about how they form, the layers of the atmosphere & how that impacts their forms & movements. I marvelled all the more.

Chicken soup souds good to me, too.

Not sure about the cauliflower - but crumbed - I can give it a go!

Sunrises & sunsets aren't so great from my windows, there being too many buildings & trees between me & the horizon.

I like th photos people send into the ABC of sunrises & other weather related subjects. I don't know how these people get such beautiful pictures. I don't see much, but what I so see is beautiful.

I remember some.

Once when a storm was finishing around sunset, whiel the clouds hadn't cleared, the sun had come out low in the west lighting all the clouds a rich golden yellow. There was still some lightning in them, too. It looked so amazing.

Hey everyone New posters are always welcome too!

Hey CMF....The garlic chicken balls are in Woolworths Supermarkets in the frozen foods area under the Woolworths brand. If memory serves they are about $5-50 for a box of 400g. Made by Inghams Poultry and they are beautiful 😃
