The BB cafe is open for business!
Welcome all to a new chill and chat place for everyone on the forum.

The BB cafe is whatever you want it to be. There are comfy sofas, tables and chairs, coffee machines, a kitchen stocked with everything. There's a pool outside, a bbq area, an annexe with comfy beds for a quiet sleep, tv, dvd, books and whatever else you would like to have here.

Most of all, it's a place to meet friends and fellow travellers for a bit of company. Talk over problems, tell jokes, share your day, escape into a world of your making. Grab a coffee and pull up a chair ...

So, with a nod to the wonderful Carole King (Hard Rock Cafe) ...

Now if you're feeling just a little bit lonely
Don't sit at home just mopin'
Come on down to where the friendship flows freely
You know the door is always open

At the BB cafe
Come to the BB cafe
They will help keep your blues at bay
At the BB cafe

Can't believe everything you read in the news, duh!

Just in case nobody believed me, I have waited until today to say: It's been 28 years since I quit smoking! Yes, I quit April 1 1995. Seeing how much those things cost now, I wonder that thaere is anyone who still smokes at all.

I think of the literally thousands of dollars I am NOT spending on cigarettes & am so happy for that.

& then I think of how my health might be by now if I'd continued to smoke...  & thinking how much more unhealthy I might be now gives me an even better reason to be glad I quit when I di.

So, no fool me, eh? I think I did a very smart thing that Saturday, April 1 1995 when I chose to quit.

Hey Quirky, glad to see you! (sorry your post must have come up while I was posting  mine & I missed it

shhh, don't tell anyone where I'm hiding easter eggs & mmMarshmallow bunnies around the BB Cafe ...  I can't wait to see the surprised looks on BB members & readers who are around here,  too, faces when they find them. Hope no one sits on one - chocolate or mmMarshmallow!

You have to forget, too, Quirky, so you can have a Happy Easter surprise too.

[LRC grins , ever so mischieviously]

Did you really mean, "glamourous gunboats", Quirky or did an auto spelling correction insert an entirely wrong word?

Snack suggestion: pizza topping filled mini quiches?

mmMekitty

Hello all.

mmMekitty those mini quiches sound yum... some spring rolls with dipping sauce would be lovely too...

I've lit the fire ready for us to toast the marshmallows none of us know about yet... though given the LRC's antics we may find the marshmallows are big enough to sit on like fluffy clouds... I suppose we could pull chunks off to toast 🤔 as long as they don't melt while we are sitting on them... 🙄🤣

Hehehehe

Just look out for desicated coconut falling onto you.

On this windy day where I am, there are virtual drifts of desicated coconut - it's just not able to cling onto the mmMarshmallow Bunnies. & the wind is getting into all the hiding places... I did not check the weather forecast!

& didn't I have a bit of rain & thunder last night! At least the mmMarshmallow Bunnies indoors were spared a thorough wetting followed by melting into the garden & beneath the bushes. .. careful where you walk; it will be sticky out there!

Hello everyone,

I would also like to wish everyone a Happy Easter….

I brought along some pork strips, to throw on the fire….yummy the pork crackling along the edge always taste better when barbecued…I coloured some eggs last night with fresh herbs…they look great and has outlines of parsley leaves on the shells…taste good as well…

I bought my heavy pot along with me with lots of dried corn, some butter, some sugar to make caramel and some peanuts….we can make plenty of pop corn..and throw it into the melted caramel and peanuts and  it will be like those lolly gobble bliss bomb popcorn we had years ago as children….

I hope that everyone has/had a peaceful Easter Sunday…

Easter hugs, care and love to everyone….

Grandy..

Happy Easter everyone,

Oh Grandy I loved that bliss bomb popcorn... I must admit I was an adult when it came out... it was soo yum...

I've bought a load of potatoes wrapped in tinfoil to put in the coals so we can have potatoes in their jackets with the bbq yummies... there are bowls of sour cram, soft butter, tomato/capsicum sauce or whatever you want to go on your potato...

Hugs
