The BB cafe is open for business!
Welcome all to a new chill and chat place for everyone on the forum.

The BB cafe is whatever you want it to be. There are comfy sofas, tables and chairs, coffee machines, a kitchen stocked with everything. There's a pool outside, a bbq area, an annexe with comfy beds for a quiet sleep, tv, dvd, books and whatever else you would like to have here.

Most of all, it's a place to meet friends and fellow travellers for a bit of company. Talk over problems, tell jokes, share your day, escape into a world of your making. Grab a coffee and pull up a chair ...

So, with a nod to the wonderful Carole King (Hard Rock Cafe) ...

Now if you're feeling just a little bit lonely
Don't sit at home just mopin'
Come on down to where the friendship flows freely
You know the door is always open

At the BB cafe

They will help keep your blues at bay

Hi Kaz.  Good to see you.  Yep, first wicket down.  With likely lost play due to probable rain over the next 4 days in Sydney, they need lots of wickets quickly.  Headless chook?  Made me think of KT's profile photo.  Only she isnt headless!  Just a nice Rhode Island Red, or perhaps an Isa Brown (something like that). Love the cricket ............   I would happily sit and watch it all day.

Must be time for another wicket I reckon. Currently 1 for 45. I agree we need to get them quickly.

Hey what about that no ball that wasn't a no ball. Grrrr.

Coffee time, would you like something while I'm up?

Hello All,

I'll do the cooking if you're all busy watching the cricket. Just put a leg of lamb in the slow cooker and we can have sausages for lunch - I already made a potato salad.

I cannot believe I will be back at work tomorrow - I would rather keep catering in this beautiful little cafe. Even my parrot likes it here, as the cats are all nice to him, you have raised them well!

Enjoy the cricket, Yggy x

Hiya yggy  - sausages and potato salad yummmmm.

Yes, I'm back at work tomorrow too. Not looking forward to it, although I've had a really good rest over the holidays so I should cope better than I did towards the end of the year, when everything got on top of me.

The worst thing today though is the basket of ironing staring at me. I hate ironing with a passion and work clothes are the only things I iron, under protest. Shirts that don't need ironing are my favourite items of clothing.

Pity we can't make a living catering here eh?

xx

Hi Kaz and Yggy.  Is anyone else here?  If there is, hi to you too.  And the cats, the dogs, the parrot - pats all round. Umm, not sure about the parrot?  Maybe he'd like a little scratch under the neck?

Sausages and potato salad sounds good for lunch.  Almost lunch break in the cricket, so I can give you a hand with that now.  Leg of lamb for dinner sounds good too.  Might stick around for that, it will save me cooking tonight.  Gee back at work already you two, the time has gone quickly.  As it always tends to when you're on leave. But its good that you've had a bit of a rest during the break.  I only work part time, so its much easier.

Yggy I'm glad you brought the parrot in for a visit.  All the pets in here are very friendly and well trained, so you need not be concerned.  Cats, dogs, parrots.  Even little lambies if you want to bring some along when you bring Lucy in Wayne!

Ironing Kaz?  Set up the ironing board in front of the cricket and you wont even have to think about it as you get it all done.  But not between the tele and me please.  Just to the side a little is good.  Yes, thank goodness for clothes that dont need ironing.

In the lunch break, after helping with some lunch for the troops, I will just find a quiet corner and have a brief nanny-nap I think.

Okay Kaz.  Enjoy your daughters visit.  Rain in sydney has also 'arrived', so the cricketers have just gone off. Hoping for more play later though.  May catch you here later.........

Hi Sherie, I'm back just in time for the closing session. You would be proud of me, I did what you said and got my ironing done while I watched the, well, rain, and chatted to my girl. Lovely afternoon.

Not looking good for a full test eh. Rain predicted tomorrow and the next day I think. Currently 5 for 159, so we're doing OK.

Hope you've had a pleasant afternoon - did you get a nap?

Oh very good.  Well done on the ironing.  Got that out of the way nicely.  Yes, very proud of you   ( - :

And so pleased you had a nice afternoon with your daughter.  Is she very much like her Mum?  If so, then she's a great girl.

No the cricket is looking like being very much a stop / start affair unfortunately.  Currently 6-184.  Due to finish soon though.  Need to get as much in while they can, as its not looking good for Mon/Tues is it?

Yep, I also had a pleasant afternoon, did some gardening earlier.  Just planting a few screening/shade trees on our Western side of the house.  Expecting to get rain here, but so far, nothing.  But its meant to be wet here too for the next few days, so it will be good for the new plantings.  And yes, I did get a brief nap during the lunch break thanks.  Also been planning a trip South to visit my family (on a farm in Southern Highlands) and our daughter, her hubby and 2 of my grandkids down at Wollongong.  Managed to squeeze it in amongst my work commitments and my husbands medical appointments.  We will be away from 13th to 18th January.

I hope it isnt too hard for you getting back to work again tomorrow.  Hopefully a relatively easy day, to ease you back into it.

Hi everyone!

i need to flop down for a bit. I bought a Fitbit and I'm trying to do 10 000 steps today. I'm up to 8700. Got some more walking to do.

Awww, Sherie, u know your chooks. She is a regular old isa brown. Best laying hens.

im going to make lunch for everyone who has to go back to work tomorrow.  I still have two weeks to go. Need to start getting myself organised though. Have to hit the ground running 😄.

im not much of a sport fan but looks like the cricket was a hit.

I hate ironing too. I iron my work clothes for the day in the mornings. I don't like facing a basket of ironing...yuck.

glad the muffins were good.

all the animals here are being so well behaved. I must bring my girl in in her mobility scooter. She likes to show it off.

dont let me forget to do the kitty litter every night. I'll pop a reminder on the fridge door. Smells much better in here now.

enjoy your evening everyone!
