Life's a box o' chocolates...what flavour are you?

Hi all!

Feeling chirpy and quirky this morning. Chocolate is a little bit naughty (aphrodisiac), extremely varied in choice, a migraine for some and guilty pleasure for others. Do you only have one, or consume the box?

My favourite centre is mandarin. I pick out the one's I like and leave the rest behind.

I'd say I'm dark and mysterious and a little bit gooier in the centre. So I think I'd be a Jaffa Old Gold. I can seem bitter depending on your taste, but when you get to my centre, I'm sweet and zesty!

Cheers...Dizzy x

You are both very kind. Thankyou.

My dear Rob;

I'm sorry you were feeling down; I hope things have improved since you posted. Just a thought; when I was at school, I was left till last being picked for teams. I excelled at this sport; who would'a thunk? It's because they didn't know me.

On any given day we can choose what type, taste, texture, shape or flavour we feel like; that's the joy of chocolate...just being our sweet and delicious self is enough...ok?

I am enough! Perfect from moment to moment; sad, happy, vulnerable or sexy.

I started this thread to encourage creativity through expression. There are as many types of chocolate as there are feelings and emotions. Here on BB we've probably experienced them all.

Being left to last in the box isn't about you; it's about the person who chooses/doesn't choose you. They just need to get to know how amazing you taste, and if they don't, it's their loss.

Be the box!

It's such a delight to read your posts. I was trying to think what sort of chocolate I have been today and struggling to find one that fits. I think it is a liquorish allsort, the cube shaped one with different coloured layers. The layers have been stripped off one by one and eaten. I am now changed into nothing left except the lingering taste of sugar and a desire to go to bed.

Good night.

No I wasn't feeling that decadent that day Sherie 🙂, mainly royal like because of the gold paper really that Ferrero Rocher are wrapped up in. I was treated extra special that day.

Um today, I would likened myself to a slightly melted Easter egg with just the top of it dented a bit, sort of knocked around by emotions.

OMG!! I so pigged out on chocolate bickies a couple of days ago...Choc Monty's. I bit a small piece off each end and sucked my coffee through it like a straw. Chocolatey mushy mouth filling reminiscence of childhood fun. I suffered some guilt afterwards, but this activity is so yummy.

I like to do this with other choc biscuits too, but the darkness of Monty's chocolate; a little bitter as well as sweet, gives an adult theme to a childhood favourite.

Sometimes, being a child again can brighten up the day...Dizzy x

Dizzy, you made me smile, thankyou.

I agree it's super fun to do that and I love choc montys...do they fall apart quickly? I like to have a teaspoon on hand just in case.

Try the dark choc timtams 😉

I think at heart I may be an original salada, complete with salt.

Could I interest you in some Brie, Camembert and salami/cold meat selection with your salty Salada's? hmm...where's the chocolate?

Think I am a Rocky Road right now. That is how life is feeling at present!

No good Mrs D...could I interest you in some fluffy marshmallow to land in?
