Due to Grandy's concernes, we'll first tie more drink containers to the iceberg, & I can re-engineer the stage to be a floating platform (lots of floaties, which may also be for avatar use if the event does prove to be a wash-out).
I would love it if Grandy would reconsider, because otherwise I'll have I'll have to find another🎻player. Perhaps your fur babies would like to play with it? At least for a little while, & I'll make sure the songs needing the violin will be on the programme early , that way they will be with you later?
I wonder who else?
As for Marcel Marceau, he & the Mummenschanz are the stage hands.,
& Tripod are roadies.

Okay, Moonstruck, I was right to give you a microphone, so you will be available for monologues? Yes?
I'll go ahead & book you for sunrise? 😸

Yeah all right. I'll write a tribute to Croix and what a valuable asset to the Forum he is and read it out in my beautiful voice. Will it be cold do you think? Should I wear my ugg boots?

Hello Croix, Kitty, Moon and readers..l.🤗.
It’s no reflection on anyone here that I might not be attending...Where I have decided to go, has not got a good internet service....Yep it happens a lot out central west and country areas.. we have lots of black spots...I think there called...
I will try to call in if I have service...or if I decide it’s too much bother to go where I want to...I can go a few kilometres from mine on the main road and watch it from the top of the mountain that the road travels along...It also has the same view that the dam wall has..just a different spot to look at it from..
I hope everyone has a nice day today..
Dear Croix,,,I hope you had a wonderful Christmas Day,,,If I could in r/l...I would really enjoy to be walking alongside you and Mrs C...then sitting somewhere and watch the fireworks...
The bigger towns out here have some fireworks, but I cannot see them unless I travel into the bigger towns..,something I will pass on, due to the Kangaroos, foxes, rabbits, echidnas etc..that seem to emerge onto the road, once the darkness of night has fallen.....
My care and love to you all..
Grandy....

Ugg boot / Ugh bots - either will be fine! I have my handy tool kit so I can rivet a few rivets into the bottoms of either. 😺
I know, Croix, you are no fool - you can't hide your genius from us. I've seen it in too many posts. If you were fooling us, you surely wouldn't be so consistently wise & giving thoughtful responses, with the same level of care & compassion as you do.
(oh I love that pretty dark magenta blush! 😸😻😹)

That's 2 down, still umpteen to go:)
As you should know walruses never blush, hide too thick (and no comments please)
Instead they go Hurrumph.
Anyway you are a troublemaker, rivets indeed! Terpsichorean Tap will ruin my nice shiny iceberg floor:( I just hope Moon is too genteel to indulge in such.
On a slightly more serious note I understand you are getting very tired and having naps during the day, is this a propblem keeping you awake at night?

Seems to me I've had some sort of problem or difficulty sleeping since I can remember.
When I was little, I would fake my naps so I would be allowed up again - I couldn't sleep in a room with light coming in. Not absolutely dark, but pretty close.
As I grew up, day time naps were no longer required, & I was okay, except I enjoyed the late night quiet & would listen for quite a while, or my sis & I would continue talking, & talking. Some nights it may be an hour or 2.
On my own I'd listen & feel at that late hour, much better than I did at other times of the day when the household was more active.
I liked to sleep, dream, or lay down & be still, regulating my breathing, so people thought I was asleep. Sometimes I experienced my body sort of disappear, or I could think myself in a different position & be surprised when I became aware I was not in that position. I could have waking dreams then, too.
I began in my late teens to actively wake myself up, simply by telling myself to get up at 6am, & I would. I wanted to get up & leave the house before my (ex-)step-mother got up. That worked fine for months.
I didn't used to be bothered if some nights I didn't sleep. Once I didn't sleep for 3 days. Now I'm older, & I feel the effects of not sleeping.
Then there were also times I could easily sleep 10hrs at night.
At some point I decided I wanted to sleep in a lit room,/daytime & gradually, practising my pretend sleep, being able to physically relax as I did then, I began to be able to do that.
For some years I've been up late, not able to get to sleep easily anymore, due to hot, cold, pain, tinnitus, phosphenes, my nose, too much thinking, memories & emotions coming up , sometimes even when I've got a book or music playing, I'm just too uncomfortable. I wake two or three times, sometimes not able to get back to sleep.
It used to be enough to get a short snooze, no more than 2 hrs, & I'd be okay. But not recently. This is one thing which is worse since my recent diagnosis. I get so suddenly tired I must sleep I get cranky as a two-yr-old in need of a nap. & now I'm napping once or twice, more than 2 hours, often 3 -4 hours. & I'll be tired again just a few hours later. At night I'm getting to sleep easier, but waking 4 - 5 hours later. I have a totally wonky sleep cycle.
This morning I woke at around 3am due to neighbours quarrel. I couldn't get back to sleep properly, dozing for another 2hrs, then tossing for another, & then I gave up & got up.

Dear mmMekitty~
For some silly reason or other your sleep patterns remind me of Sumo Cat who does not have regular mealtimes, but 'grazes'. He will come inside whenever the mood takes him and nibble a few biscuits from the dispenser and have a lap of water and then go back on the front step again. This goes on throughout the day and seem to satisfy his needs (he is a very substantial puddy-cat) .
Your broken sleep patters must overall give you enough rest to have a sharp mind that makes sensible decisions, so whilst not pleasant may be just enough to get you by.
Without laboring my physical (and mental) infirmities I too find pain and other distractions do not promote sleep at night and result in my having 'cat' naps during the day.
I think maybe the only difference we have at night is I'm now in the habit of getting up straight away rather than lying htere in a semi-sleepless state, and have pain meds, cocoa and maybe a biscuit or two, then return having read a chapter of a book, and normally get back to sleep for a while.
That getting up straight away and then the extra bit of sleep does me good in two ways, firstly not lying there with the mind looping though unpleasant thoughts - a paralyzing occupation - and it includes enough rest for me not to have too many cat naps during the day.
It occurs to me that whilst neighbors arguing is a nuisance, at least you are not one of those unhappy people arguing, and have a more tranquil life.
I think at the moment you are doing an excellent job keeping things in proportion and getting at least some rest.

Hi Croix, & a Happy New Year to you! 😺
I trust we didn't keep you up too late? With COVID & restrictions, it was a small affair, really. In other years, I'm sure we could have had 4 times as many people making 8 times as much noise. 😸Alas, for me, I can only imagine, giving myself a headache & louder tinnitus for at least an hour after. "Serves you right" I hear you say. & I'd agree. Or...then again, if we had been in full swing, we'd've been closed down within half an hour!
Happy New Year to Mrs C & Sumo Cat as well.
& I want to thank all the members in the band who turned up, whether you turned up early, late or indifferently. I appreciate the effort & the idea you had to turn up when you had no where else to go. 😹 Rest assured, I shall show the same amount of enthusiasm when it comes time to deliver your bonuses.
