One of my favourite lines has been "He fall-ed in the water!" I'm sure that's how he* said it. (*My humblest apologies, I forget which one!) It cracked me up every time. When the Goon Show came on (ABC radio Saturdays after the Science Show, back when), I'd be eagerly hoping to hear the splash followed by the line.

Otherwise, I'm not so good at trivia quizzes - forget so, so much.

If you want to put up a thread, Tayla, for such sharing of interests, go for it. If it seems I have something to contribute, I will.

Now, just how did I become a 'Valued Contributor'? I saw something somewhere... now where is that thing?

hey all. Croix, yes Sergeant Major was great. Windsor Davies was a great actor. i also love Never The Twain, with him & Donald Sinden (well Sir Donald Sinden), i've never heard of Donald until then. he was a good actor also. it's available on DVD but i watched it online, same with It Ain't Half Hot Mum, Dad's Army, etc.

yeah i'm not sure if i will make a new thread or not. if someone else wants to, i'd be happy to join in, but no pressure of course.

...but how did it happen? I'm sure I nominated someone, but I really can't recall where/how I did... In my opinion, some people seem to be lacking this Special Award ...that's what I would like to know. The fact that I got one will forever be a mystery to me. That there are others who've earned them but don't have them is also a mystery - I want to solve!

That was horrible of me, not meant, just ... well I dunno just what, you are a valued freind and I'm glad you sung out. It prompted me to go and read your thread for the last 3 weeks or so.

So much has been happening! your MIL passing away. Like Grandy I'm glad you got to see her. Sadly as we age others do pass away, apart from the grief and loss it makes it difficult to have the same sort of friends and relationships. Having last memories and mental pictures that were good ones is a blessing.

Did I misunderstand or do you have a bff very ill too? I'm sorry if you have, sometimes things just happen together.

I did see you had stopped the smokes and gone on some patches and hope it works out . It is a terribly difficult thing to quit, and even if you only do it for a while it is a victory. I was hopeless at quitting.

I hope you got the patches for free, someone told me they were expensive -is that true?

Maybe you will find a new MH bloke who sees eye to eye with you. I've been pretty lucky that way, only had a couple who were hopeless

Now to serious matters, I don't know what you did to my iceberg, apart from the cracks and hole in the middle it is now much higher at one end than the other. I have to keep on retrieving kiwis before they slide off. It's ok for the penguins, they think it a great game and toboggan off on purpose.
