Hey Everybody! Christmas is the time of year to enjoy & share with family & friends. Some people will spend this time alone & isolated too!
This is a safe place where people can post and say hello, chat or send wishes to others and have a 'Virtual Christmas/New Years'!
Whether you have plans for Christmas/New Years or having a quiet one you can kick back and just enjoy company of others. Its been a long year. Even if you have never posted on Beyond Blue before you are very welcome to come in and sit around our 'Virtual Christmas Tree' and chat 🙂
Just make sure you leave your snow gear/boots in the foyer. Please leave any reindeer or snow dogs outside if you can 😉 Happy Christmas xo
Santa (aka Paul) Ho Ho! 🙂

Blow waiting for christmas might make some of those mini pavs. Thanks for a great idea.
Think Chrissy will be the same for our extended family, watch the little ones open gifts, eat eat eat, swim, rest and then start again. Although a nice twist this year, sister in law is and eldest son are visiting father in law so two Christmas visits somewhere. Be awesome for my husband to spend some time with family he does not see very often.
Wishing everyone a great time whatever you choose to do on the day.

Now listen here you young whipper snapper. I am that old we used to walk 40 miles to school every day. And back again plus milk 100 cows,
Now I have to look for that carpenter again just to shave a bit off the nose again

I was just a twinkle in my dad's eyes while your where listening to the Newcastle song.
How good at maths are you?
Its past your kerfew isn't it. Won't they be rounding all the cows up for that early morning milk? 3am start?
I suppose you did it all by hand then too, with a hole in your bucket dear Liza?
Have a good night kanga

Is your Christmas going to be;

- traditional ham & turkey/chook roast vegs?
- or seafood?

Been trying to find a good Santa avatar...may just run with a snow dog at the moment

And might I say Paul, what a beautiful Avatar (Profile Pic) you've chosen! He's a ripper! Matches the Xmas spirit down pat.
I may avoid family all together. An hr to show my lug and walk away with pride intact maybe.
Good to see everyone having a laugh on here; festive and happy.
Gen...what a nice post! Mini pav's sound gorgeous. What fruit would you put on top? I like whipped cream, raspberries and shaved chocolate.
Kanga...I'm an old dog as well..57 with bells on! I walked those 40 miles too...in bare feet carrying my little sister!
Matt...good to see you're enjoying our season's cheer...on ya'!
Bells ringing...ding a ling...Sara xo

Hello gorgeous! Haven't spoken for a while.....hey folks, I got a bit confused about this Christmas Thread.....I've been posting my usual Festive Season loathing and Scrooge remarks to another one... Festive Struggles.....so we apparently have two on similar topics...is that right? or is the other one more serious? Do I have to be funny and brilliantly humorous on this one? I can be, if that is required.....what genre would you like me to write in?
So anyway, for what it's worth.....as my grand kids (for whom Christmas is special still and i don't spoil that) I intend to pay it as little attention as possible, no focus, not allow it to be part of my reality at all......I loathe this time of year, the unnecessary hype, stress it causes to those vulnerable, emphasis on "family, friends, love, sharing"...which so many people DON"T have...the crap foisted on them..us...by the media, stores and supermarkets has a helluva lot to answer for!
(the only thing I like about Christmas is watching Love Actually on Tv - they put it on every year without fail!!!
Love from Moon S
