Hi everyone. Haven't been here for a little bit. I need to try make pav this year, I never make it. I usually make chocolate log cake because it is super easy and delicious.

Is it bad that I probably won't have an Xmas tree. I live with two housemates and not sure if they want to do it. I know one of them has no money so she doesn't want to buy one. I am tempted to buy a 30cm on that already has lights on it. LOL

What is everyones favourite xmas movie? Mine as a kid was always the santa claus with tim alen.

When in elementary school, it was "The Year Without a Santa Claus"

Later it became "Christmas Vacation"

but I still love the old classic: "Scrooged" starring Bill Murray

Hey MsPurple

You and I think alike where Christmas trees are concerned. I have a 6' wiz bang state of the art Christmas tree in storage including all the lights and even some old '60's decorations that hang on the branches. Its a beautiful Canadian Pine artificial tree but looks gorgeous

I am happy and reasonably contented but I will be getting out an old tiny 20cm tree and putting it in my lounge room as the 6' tree with all the gorgeous decorations is setting up way too many high expectations (just for me)

SubduedBlues brought up 'Scrooged' which is an '80's classic and hilarious Christmas movie...

Thats a good question about a nice Christmas movie 🙂 Will put on my thinking cap

Walks around billing every one because carol has gone on holidays nd wont be back for a while.

Hey everyone...

Paul...Linda Blair was in the Exorcist not Terminator 2. I don't think my head twists around though anything's possible 'round here. ha ha..I'm doing all the trimmings on my tree; a must have!

MsPurple...my fave Xmas movie series is also Tim Allen's 'The Santa Clause'. (I, II, III)

SubduedBlues...I also loved 'Xmas Vacation'

In Australia, christmas comes in the middle of a very hot summer So when santa claus delivers hispresents. He's not taken around by reindeer because, they can't stand the terrible heat. He's taken around by six big, white, old man kangaroos. Called the six white boomers. Early on one christmas day, a joey kangaroo. Was far from home and lost. In a great, big zoo “Mommy.... Where's my mommy?” “They've taken her away. We'll help you find your mommy, son. Hop up on the sleigh”. So up inside the bag of toys the little joey hopped. But they hadn't gone far when santa stopped Unharnessed all the reindeer, and joey wondered why. Then he heard a far off booming in the sky (boom, boom, boom, boom, boom, boom, boom, boom)
Six white boomers. Snow white boomers. Racing santa claus through the blazing sun. Six white boomers. Snow white boomers. On his australian run. Pretty soon old santa began to feel the heat Took his fur-lined boots off to cool his feet. Into one popped joey. Feelin' quite okay. While those old man kangaroos kept pullin' on the sleigh Hey! Six white boomers. Snow white boomers. Racing santa
claus through the blazing sun. Six white boomers. Snow white boomers. On his australian run Then joey said to santa, "santa, what about the toys? Aren't you giving some to these girls and boys? " "well, they've all had their presents, sonny. We were here last night. This trip is an extra trip. Joey's special flight. Six white boomers. Snow white boomers. Racing santa claus through the blazing sun. Six white boomers. Snow white boomers. On his australian run. Soon the sleigh was flashing past. Right over marble bar "slow down there!" cried santa "it can't be far Hop up on my lap here, son And have a look around" "there, there she is! That's mommy! Bounding up and down! " Six white boomers. Snow white boomers. Racing santa claus through the blazing sun. Six white boomers. Snow white boomers. On his
australian run..Well, that's the bestest christmas treat. That joey ever had.
Curled up in mother's pouch feeling snug and glad. The last they saw was santa heading northwards from the sun. The only year the boomers worked a double run. Six white boomers. Snow white boomers. Racing santa claus through the blazing sun. Six white boomers. Snow white boomers. On his australian run.

Absolutely Kanga! and nice1 on the Six White Boomers too 🙂

Sara.....whoops re Linda Blair.....doh!

Now we just need one seriously large snow machine lol. Paul xo

here I go again

Train whistle blowing makes a sleepy noise. Underneath their blankets go all the girls and boys. Rocking rolling riding out along the bay. All bound for Santatown many miles away.Driver at the engine fireman rings the bell. Sand man swings the lantern to show that all is well. Rocking rolling riding out along the bay. All bound for Santatown many miles away.Maybe it is snowing where our train will ride; all the little travellers are warm and snug inside. Rocking rolling riding out along the bay. All bound for Santatown many miles away. Somewhere there is sunshine, somewhere there is day. Somewhere there is Santatown, many miles away. Rocking rolling riding out along the bay All bound for Santatown many miles away. All bound for Santatown many miles away.

Hey Kanga...Classic 'Seekers' song morphed into Xmas merriment! Nice one..my sisters and I used to sing this one when I was little. We sang it to my mum on her 70th birthday and she cried.

Hey Paul...a snow machine would fit the bill...noice! A snowman with red/green scarf and tinsel around his base would suit us just fine.

On Dancer, on Prancer, on Vixen and blah blah...six white boomers is far more exciting!

Taking tree trimmings out today...Sara xo
