Hi Kelcrow,
Welcome to Beyond Blue. I hope you receive a lot of helpful information here from other people also dealing with issues involving depression and anxiety.
Have you had a look at some of the resources available here at Beyond Blue? Have you looked up depression and anxiety on the net to find out more information relating to these conditions?
Have you been to a Dr to talk about your health issues?
I have issues with depression, anxiety and stress. I have been doing some research on stress. The more I learn about it, the easier I am able to understand it and find ways to deal with it.
Anxiety can manifest itself in many different ways in each individual. For me it leads to headaches and back pain. My depression can cause me to want to stay in bed all day and to not see people.
One blessing for me is that I am a self employed contractor looking after the elderly, so I have to get out of bed every Monday to Friday to assist my clients. Some days it is necessary to push ur selves just a little bit harder to do things.
I usually find that once I am out of the door an on my way to where ever I need to be, I am feeling a whole lot better.
Is there some way you can deal with the stress caused in the relationship which is upsetting you? Would it be beneficial to see a counsellor, or you could phone the Beyond Blue help line, use their webchat or ask your Dr if they can recommend someone for you to chat with?
Hopefully some of this has been helpful to you.
From Mrs. Dools

Hi Kelcrow,
My anxiety would cause me terrible tummy troubles, so yes nausea and other physical symptoms can be a side effect. It's definitely worthwhile getting it checked out by a GP, and perhaps arranging some therapy for the anxiety. I know this can be a difficult task when you don't feel like you have much motivation, but it will be rewarding for you.
You might also like to start exploring some of the suggestions offered in the thread SELF HELP TIPS FOR MANAGING ANXIETY under the anxiety section of the forums. These days there's lots of information regarding treatments online and also apps for mindfulness, and youtube clips for relaxation that you can try.
Let us know how you get on and what you decide.
