Hi everyone. I just signed up and wanted to say hi to all.
I started med treatment from my doc last week for severe anxiety and today was diagnosed with agoraphobia.
I'm a middle aged guy with no friends or family so it's great to have somewhere to come and compare notes.
You all seem very nice and supportive of each other. That makes me feel better already and think I will like it here.
That's my first post, so look after yourselves and I'm looking forward to making a friend or two.

Hi. Girl.
I am in a very very bad way at the moment. I don't know if I can make it.
I will have to get chat later. I'm sorry.
-Aggy.

Hi Aggy,
There is no need to apologise. Post when you feel comfortable doing so.
Please consider talking to BB on their phone number at the top of the page, it may help to talk to someone. They also have a webchat service from 3pm onwards, if the phone and talking is too much.

Hi Girl. Sorry about that. Yesterday was a bit difficult.
I'm so glad shopping went ok for you. I like the term 'anxiety central'. It made me smile cause I know that place quite well. Like I said yesterday, please try hard to remember that your GP and psyhc are only discussing ways to help you recover.
As my job is one of the last a positive things I have, I try very hard to attend each day. I am very afraid if I don't do it I may be not be able to go out at all ever again. Workmates are starting to notice something is wrong which worries me.
Please don't apologise about flooding my thread. We seem to have some stuff in common and I like to hear how you are going. As long as we are helping each other I don't think it matters where we post to much.
Sorry again about my earlier post. I rang the number you suggested and feel better so thankyou for that.
And I wish that those monsters would just leave you alone.

Hi Aggy,
I am glad to hear from you. I am also glad I was able to help, even a little. Your post deserves more of a reply but I have had a series of awful days capped off by a horrible one today. I have a thread called glass walls over in the depression forum if you'd like to read it.
I don't think my latest reply would have made it through moderation yet, but I need to cry and sleep now.
I will try to reply properly later.

Hi and thanks Chloekat.
Every here is great and really helpful. Signing up was the best thing I could've done.
I'd be lost and alone without BB.

Chloekat.
It's just as well the people on here are so great. The only friends I have now are online. Everyone I know in the real world continues to disappoint me daily. It just never ends. I don't blame them for not helping someone like me. Their life must go on and they have their own problems to deal with.
I don't expect much from people so I am going to build a higher wall and expect nothing from anyone at all. They won't hurt me again. I'd rather go without everything that I need to survive before I have to rely on people again.
What I can't organise myself by phone or online I will simply do without. I'm not giving up my fight, but must now come to terms with the fact I will be doing this completely alone with the exception of the nice people here at BB.
I will make it, but its just going to be harder than I hoped.

Just wanted to say we will always be here for you Aggy - and guess what? Behind the computer screen we are all real people too, so it looks like not everyone is disappointing you;)
The forums here are the perfect place for when it does get really hard, so just make sure you keep reaching out to us. Yes, you will definitely make it!
