So recently I’ve been watching this show called “Wednesday” on Netflix if this helps. There is a girl named “Wednesday” or her actors name is “Jenna Ortega”. This all started when I finished the show for the first time and I started feeling a feeling of emptiness or sorrow. This wasn’t caused by me being bored prior to finishing the show and wanted to see more, but I feel as this was caused by my obsession with Jenna Ortega. Due to this I usually think about possibilities of us being a couple or what it would be like to date her. I also think about if I would be good enough for her and the chances of us being together. I don’t know if the issue comes with how much I am obsessed with her, or if its the slim probability of us being a couple. I have also started watching the show a second time to distract myself and it seems to work but I only feel at ease during and shortly after the episode I watch. I don’t know why I like her so much but I do, whether its her beautiful face or her funny personality. I also noticed when i listen to certain songs like “space song” because it was in the show, “just the way you are” or especially “locked out of heaven” I think of her. The song “locked out of heaven” seems to remind me about her as I feel “locked” away from happiness as a result of her being in love with me let alone even knowing I exist. I just have a massive obsession or crush on her that I need help to either deal wth it or something else. I just know its eventually going to affect my life, especially as I have school holidays in a few days and she will probably be stuck in my mind no matter what I do.
Thanks
P.S I was about to tear up while writing this — describing how serious this situation is

Dear Anon1608~
Welcome here to the Forum, I'm glad you did not tear up that message as it is important and making your life unhappy. If it is of any help you are far from alone in having a crush on a film star. Actually I think I rather liked the original Morticia, Wednesday's mum, in the original TV series.
Having thought about your message I would suggest the following provided you want to take steps to get over this crush (I'm no expert but it seems reasonable):
To start with the character in the series, Wednesday Addams, presents a strong 'goth' type image that one does take notice of. Please notice I said 'character' becuse the real person portraying that character will be nothing like that, in fact face to face you might find her so different to your expectations you don't even like her.
As I'm sure inside you realise your are fantasizing over the image you see on the screen, one carefully crafted, skillfully written, and completely made up -and probably backed up by publicity photos and stories equally false..
Can I suggest that for you to go on with your real life, and interact fully wiht real people and that you try some of the following steps? They may seem hard to do but might well help.
The first is to get rid of reminders about the actor out of your life , stop watching the show, delete pictures, stop listening to those songs and so on.
Then think to yourself that really it is impossible to love someone you do not know, you just love an image that you and the show's producers have created and bears no relationship to any real person
Lastly be very mindful of how much this obsession is taking over your life, that realistically it will never go anywhere and in the meantime all the real interactions you could have and enjoy are being kept from you by this preoccupation.
So what do you think?
