Hi, I just joined here, and I'm still anxious if I'm doing the right thing. I've suffered from high levels of anxiety and depression the last few years, and I keep trying to improve and better myself, but life keeps knocking me back down. This last month in particular, has been really bad for me..but I want to change, and to do better and stop worrying about everything, and suffering from this anxiety and depression. Its just been a real struggle lately..

Hello Dear Lady04,

A very warm and caring welcome to our forums...

Im sorry you have been struggling with anxiety...

You have taken a good first step in sharing your struggles and most importantly your want of getting on top of your anxiety....

Sometimes anxiety can be helped by talking to your Dr...and getting some some coping tools of them...other times it might help to talk to professionals about how it’s impacting on your life..sometimes meds are prescribed to ease the night of our anxiety...Maybe if you’re feeling up to it a chat with your GP...might be a good next step forward...

We have hundreds of threads on these forums under anxiety..if your up to searching inbthe search bar..anxiety..maybe something in those threads might also give you a little more insight into how best to manage anxiety....

Here if you need to talk lovely Lady04...

My kindest thoughts

Grandy..

Hi there. This is my first time too. I suffer from BPD, depression and anxiety. I’m terribly lonely tonight. So hi! 🙋🏼‍♀️

Hello Lady and CharRose, a warm welcome to the site, and thanks Grandy for your reply and agree, there are many other posts that may help you, which can give advice on your situation, but that's not to say we won't be answering your comments, that's not how this site works.

When anyone is suffering from depression and anxiety it certainly restricts what you are able to do and even if you are able to overcome these, there is a chance you may have a relapse, as I've had a few times and wonder why, but there's always a reason and each time maybe for another reason, completely different to the last one we have had.

Sometimes we may have friends to help us on one occasion, but next time they may not have the time or we aren't able to contact them, which makes our situation feel as we have to cope all by ourselves, this isn't true, you have people you can still discuss your position with, and be one place is here where we can listen to what you want to say, then give advice from what we've been through ourselves and suggest different ways to help you.

Please can you both get back to us whenever you're available, this would enable us to know a little more of why you feel this way.

Take care.

Geoff.

thanks Grandy and Geoff for your replies, so sorry my reply has been late, things have just been crazy lately. I have been seeing a psychologist to help me with my anxiety and depression the last few years, and she's helped me quite a bit, but I'm still struggling alot. On top of having a really bad month last month, I found out my dad has to have heart surgery in the next week, and I'm quite stressed and worried for him, and my mind keeps jumping to "worse case" scenario. So If you could please keep him in your prayers..that he'll be ok it would be really appreciated. Cause my anxiety is a mess, each time I think about him having that operation..
