Hi Pinkwhite
It's great to hear you are happy about working and thus having an income, but hate being at work itself. It's a common dilemma and I'm sure everyone feels similar things once in a while! Can you perhaps elaborate on why you hate being there? What is it that you do? When did you start to notice a change in how you felt about work?
Feel free to chat to us; we are here to listen.

Hi Pinkwhite
It's good to hear you are doing better- hopefully the Co-vid stuff will ease away sooner rather than later and you can find your feet more at work. Feel free to continue to use this thread as a space to express your thoughts and find community!
Sending kindness,
Tay100

Hello Pinkwhite,
I have a one day volunteer job at a charity shop..I like going in most times, but when I get there I wish I was back home..some days I like the day at work other days..I would just love to go home and be away from people...I keep pushing myself to go because it’s the only day of the week I venture out on my own and after I get home regardless of how the day went..I do feel like I accomplished something positive...Well done on continuing your job...
Please don’t be hard on yourself when you binge eat...I find that I binge eat when I’m in a low depressed mood, I think for me it just helps lift me up for a while..then because I feel guilty go back down...
I now try to not buy junk food much and buy fruit instead...that’s very hard for me to do..I have worked out with my GP...that I binge eat because for many years because my meals were controlled by my late husband and so was the groceries he bought...Now I buy my own and can buy what I want to....problem for me is when I’m feeling down..food comforts me and I enjoy eating what I wasn’t allowed to before...But I need to stop, so now I try hard to just have healthy food in my shopping, with a couple of small size special treats I keep until after my volunteer job as a reward....
What I am trying to say..in a round about way..is if eating is for comforting you...maybe try healthy snacks like, sultanas, fruit, I love wet bix, buttered with peanut butter and honey for a sweet treat...
Its hard Pinkwhite to control binge eating, first I think substitute junk food for healthy food, it’s more filling for longer....But over all Please be gentle with you..a couple of yummy treats is okay..
I hope in some small way I have given you something that might help you..
My kind thoughts with care..
Grandy..

Hello Pinkwhite,
Thank you for reaching out. I'm sorry to hear that you feel poorly whenever you overeat - i think overeating is something most people experience at least a few times throughout their life. I know I always had a propensity to overeat during exam periods or whenever I felt anxious about something coming up. Do you think you can identify any triggers which cause you to binge eat?
Something that helped me was ensuring I hid away all unhealthy snacks and only had fresh fruits, nuts, and healthy snacks in sight. However, that being said, it's all about balance. Eating some chocolate or sweet things here and then is perfectly fine!
Wishing you all the best and sending you positive thoughts.
