Hi wallflowergirl and welcome to the forums. The first post can be the most nerve racking, but we are pretty cool. This is a peer based forums, so we are average users like yourself. Majority of users are dealing with mental health and stress issues (or carers of those dealing with it). I myself have anxiety as well. I know how terrible it can be. But the best thing I did was open up and get help and support. I went to headspace and my local gp and got a referal to an psychologist. I have found it really helpful for myself. It does take time but I'll tell ya know the journey is worth it. What I thought was, I can't lose because giving it a try is better than staying in this horrible anxious place I am in.

I want to welcome you to the forums. If you have any questions feel free to ask. Also have look around other threads and feel free to post there too 🙂

Hello Wallflowergirl, a warm welcome to you and pleased MsPurple has replied back to you.

I know that posting your first comment makes you feel nervous, you type out what you want to say, then edit it, and perhaps delete it, only wishing you had posted it.

That's understandable and please don't worry about it because anxiety can start with anything at all, work, studies, relationships or even with your lack of confidence, so please take your time and post back to us, even if it's just a small bit you want to say.

Remember all of us have been through ourselves and probably still going trying to cope with it.

Best wishes.

Geoff.

Hello Wallflowergirl,

That is about the most relateable post I have read. I am also new here, and have no idea what to expect, but we are here right? I hope this can be a window that I can see, through my anxiety, out of. Maybe a mirror too with which I can more accurately see myself.

More than that but, I hope you are well, take care.

Hi I'm new here too. I stumbled upon this while I was looking for someone to chat to. Tonight has been a rough one. I'm not going into detail but I'll say I ended up at the hospital and then came home and felt suicidal
