Dropping in to say thankyou for the help and welcome guys/gals. A few days ago I wasnt sure what a BB forum was about however i joined and soon welcoming, caring messages popped onto my phone. Im still finding my way in and out of BB rooms. Iwish we'd had BB years ago. The health forums are really helpful and I like the cooking and computer posts as well.

How about you?

Ps. i think there was a thread to put this before but sorry i cant find it.

Cheers meercat

Hi Meercat & everyone else. This is my 1st post so im just stumbling round unsure what to do or what to expect. I have yet to find out how useful this site could be for me personaly & i admit that my original purpose for even looking at this site was because i was & still am feeling anger & resentment with the governments mental health system & my inability to get the help i need. My idea had been to have an angry rant at what i saw as a cheap fix for the nations mentaly ill.I need to talk not journal. Anyway,i know theres clearly good people on here so I'll give it a go & see what happens.

Hello Meercat,

Thank you for your post and I'm so glad to hear you've found the forums useful.

Hello Bunnyluv,

Welcome to the forums and I'm sorry to hear you're frustrated with the mental health system. Many of us here are because it can be very difficult to get the help you need. Expensive, stringent criteria, unprofessional people and inadequate training...many reasons to be frustrated by it all.

I've spoken to many people on the forums here and everyone seems to have a different reason. Some like to journal, like you say, while others like to just talk. Ultimately, I think it's a place of support for people who are struggling with their mental health and many use it as one of their many tools to help get by.

If you'd like your own thread, please do feel free to start one yourself 🙂 Otherwise there are many existing threads that you can post on if you feel comfortable. Many people find it as helpful to give support and advice, as it is to receive.

Anyway, nice to have you on board!

James
