Dear Szabonight~
I'd like to welcome you here to the Forum, a place where there are many who have been hit hard by events and metal illness and recovered sufficiently to want to use their experiences to help others. There is both understanding -and as you will find -empathy here too.
Having a physical injury to deal with after a traumatic incident, the car crash, is bad enough all by itself. Unfortunately the effects of that injury go beyond the body and can affect all of life. Not being able to take part as a normal family member, unable to do things one did before, being stuck in a small world within the confines of the house, all that and more will have an enormous effect on the mind.
Reading your post I was reminded of the sort of words and feelings I expressed when in bouts of depression. I'm no doctor but I would suggest seeing your GP in an extended consultation with a view to being tested for depression and related illnesses. You may be referred on to medical professionals and given medication and therapy. See how you go, it was a path to great improvements for me.
If you are under treatment it may be time to have your regime reviewed, most do as time goes on.
You have a partner who is supportive - a great thing. I could not have gotten though without mine. I do know she was under a great deal of ongoing pressure when I was most ill and needed as much support herself as she could get. Does your partner have anyone to support her - someone else she can talk with to help her cope?
Yo might like to have a browse around this Forum here to see if there are others in your situation, and how they got on.
I'd be very glad if you came back and talked some more about your self and your life.

P.S. Forgot to ask: Do you have an interest in music? Your name reminds me of Gábor Szabó, the musician who Carlos Santana took inspiration from?

Depending on which state you live in, and by feeling this way then the traffic authority should be paying for any psychological help, once you can get a letter from your doctor who will send it off to them for approval.
Support is always good but love is even much better and if
