Recently joined the forum, just saying hello for now. I'm a well-aged forty-four summers guy.
I live with major depression, and have minor manic tendencies. I try manage my moods best I can, but sometimes they overwhelm me. I'm sure most everybody reading this understands how that feels.
I hope to connect with real people, to have interactions that mean more than the sundry surface-only ones when I occasionally venture to the grocery, maybe even make a friend ... guy can dream 🙂
So, "Hello!"

Resistor
Hello and a big warm welcome to the forum and well done on making your first post.
I have been living with bipolar for over 50years. My mood has been fairly stable for a few decades but I still have times of feeling overwhelmed . I work out what works for me but sometimes when I am stressed or very tired or doing too much I find my mood can go down.
Do you have people in your life who can support you .

Hi Resistor,
Hello and welcome to the forums, great job in taking the first big step and reaching out.
It's nice to connect here in this forum as we are all going through different mental health challenges in our own way. So, you are not alone, and we understand how you are feeling. I am an overthinker and that makes me anxious sometimes, which can be really annoying.
If I may ask, have you spoken to a mental health professional or have you reached out to any family/friends who you can trust? Sometimes managing your moods on your own can be a very hard process, so getting the right support and help is really essential.
There is no pressure but if you feel like sharing more, I am here to listen...
Take care

Thanks for the warm welcome Quirky.
Your words encourage me to work at learning the skills to better identify, and cope with strong emotions.
I have one person for support, which is more than some have. I count myself lucky.
Thank you!

Hello Happylife. Thanks for the kind words.
I recently started seeing a mental health professional. I will certainly try to share more, when I find the right time and words - I'm not very good at talking about feelings 😇
