Hi Chris 12,
Welcome to our forums! Thank you for reaching out to us..
I’m sorry you are feeling this way..
I had severe anxiety OCD, I have now recovered from this condition.
Have you received any professional help for your OCD?
I was diagnosed with OCD by a psychiatrist, after my diagnosis I did an 8 week group therapy this was an intervention into the OCD… the therapy I did was meta cognitive therapy……. It was the best thing I ever did it gave me the tools I needed to master my OCD……. It took time and practice to practice the skills I was taught but they come easy to me now…….. I have now been able to stay out of the grips of OCD for 4 years going strong…….
I did my therapy at a clinic that specialised in OCD……..
if I can recover from this condition there is hope you can too…..
my gp also put me on a antidepressant for my anxiety….
OCD is a vicious cycle…… you can learn to break free of it with the correct help……
im sorry you have been feeling sad…… is this something that comes with your OCD?
im here to chat to you

Hello Chris, and welcome to the site and thanks Petal for your reply, as it is possible for people to overcome OCD, as explained and depends on the help you're able to get and how strong you are and she is fortunate enough to do this.
If it's possible to ask you to type 'intrusive thoughts' in the search bar above or in your browser to understand how these thoughts can actually make someone feel as they tend o become stuck in a person's mind and can cause you to distress as what you are thinking makes you feel upset.
They can occur quite frequently and at the worst time as a result of having OCD, other people also have them but are able to cope with them, while someone suffering from this illness can't seem to let them disappear, that's why they keep on reoccurring.
We become fixated on them and often feel ashamed of having them, so we feel ashamed that we have them but speak to a psychologist who can help you work these thoughts as well as your anxiety which causes OCD.
It is also possible that some type of depression may also be attached to how you are feeling, but please ask any question you want to and hope to hear back from you.
Geoff.
