Super ,

welcome to the forum.
Do you mean holidays in general or since covid.

In last 2 years I have not had a ho,okay and don’t like going anywhere.

I think it is natural for people to be concerned @bout holiday and mixing with others .

Thinking out loud here ...

I guess at home you know the environment what/where is safe. And when you have to go to a new area, it can become less comfortable in dealing with. For me, this same feeling occurred when the rules changes - it is all in my head but it is what it is?

OH my gosh yes!

I leave for a driving holiday tomorrow. I'm really nervous. I used to relish these trips because it was an opportunity to escape many of my anxiety triggers. But now with covid I'm scared of travel.

I'm sure it's just that we have isolated at home in our sage space. I've not worked for 6 months and the kids have hone schooled a lot. So I've been able to keep everyone in a safe bubble.

Covid has been comfortable for those with some types of anxiety, in that we haven't needed to challenge our boundaries. We are doing everything right if we stay home and order everything delivered (my perfect scenario!)

But now we have relearn how to go out in the world again and face perceived dangers.

I think once we're on the road I'll be OK. Swimming in the ocean every day will be great for the head!

Hi there

COVID is definitely a stressful thought for a lot of us, so you are not alone.

It is nerve-wracking going to a new area that you are not familiar with, and potentially being exposed to COVID. Personally, I just wear my mask, keep my distance and sanitise when I can. AND I am vaccinated - it's all you can do really...

I am SORRY you feel anxious, and you are definitely not alone.
