I've decided to stop seeing my phycologist. I'm not sure if it was the best decision but It just wasn't working for me. She was adamant in that I must talk about my past which I am not comfortable doing. She was quite insistent in finding out what happened to cause the trauma that my Anxiety test revealed and I almost had a panic attack just thinking about it. It's something I've only told my mum about and that's as far as I ever want it to go. Surely I don't have to go into that extremely personal stuff just to get some general help with my anxiety and depression... I know she is just doing her job but I just can't do it.
Feeling very depressed now. I had a really good week last week and almost let myself believe I was myself again but i really should have known better. I am going to sort out some medication tomorrow. So yeah that's my venting done for the day.

Hi Manipulator,
You're right you only have to discuss with your Psychologist what you feel comfortable with. It's disappointing that she has demanded more from you.
Sorry to hear that this has caused your mood to dip.
I understand that you are going to get some medication tomorrow. Do you see a Psychiatrist? I also wonder whether you have thought of group therapy? Here you will learn techniques and strategies for managing your anxiety, but because it's a group setting you won't have to go into the details of how, why, and when.
I recommended to someone else the other day to visit the centre for clinical intervention website. If you're not wanting to go back into therapy they have some great resources and workbooks that you can go through on your own. Not sure if you will find this worthwhile? They do a lot of stuff on panic, anxiety, fear, and shyness.
I hope that in going to your GP tomorrow (?) that you will work out a new treatment plan.
AGrace
