Hi Hanna I can imagine how much you are missing Sam and that's understandable.Their is nothing wrong with mourning your beloved dog and is perfect normal.
I got my son on the bus for school at 6:30am and he was excited to be going to camp.So hopefully he has a good time. They will be sleeping in cabins in small groups.Their must have been about 30 who went with both years 5 and 6 classes.
I hope you can do something nice for yourself and enjoy your your memories of Sam.
Take care,
Mark.

Hi Mark,
It sounds like the camp should be a fun experience for your boy!
I won't look around for a new pup until after Christmas - when some might become available - people tend to discard pets because they're going away on holidays, or they got them as a Christmas present and then find out how much work they can be! I have had a lot of vet bills to pay off, so I need a while to recoup! I will get a few nice photos of Sam developed, they are nice to have.
I had to get some financial help from the local Vinnies here this morning as my car registration is due and I have had so many vet bills to pay - they are very helpful here and have offered to pay for my pink slip inspection tomorrow. The public transport here is not good, you really do need a car to get around. Australia is very poor on public transport in the regions.
While I was there I signed a petition requesting more temporary housing for people who are homeless - they said there are over 200 people homeless in this area currently that they know of - many in a "tent city" outside one of the inland towns. A young guy at Vinnies this morning told me he is living in a caravan park and had to find the bond of $2,500 before he could even live there! It's really terrible for people.

Hi Hanna I am feeling very nervous about camp at the moment and hope it is going ok.
My daughter says their is a big influx after christmas with sadly unwanted pets that are surended. Its probably a good idea to wait as you are still mourning Sam.
The public transport out here is non existent and you need a car to get about.
Unfortunately their is so many homeless people.Out here they are living in caravans, sheds and cars.Their is such a shortage of houses available.Their isn't any rentals here at all and houses that go on the market are sold straight away.
It got overcast before with thunder but the storm has seemed to have disappeared.
I have to go to a meeting tonight so I will start getting ready for that.
Take care,
Mark.

Hi Mark,
Sorry I couldn't come by yesterday and we'ce had no internet here until a few minutes ago!
I an understand you are anxious about the camp but it does sound like a good thing for your son to do, and I am sure the people running it will make sure he is OK. He will probably come home full of news about all the things he did!
Yes thank you for that information from your daughter - I thought after Christmas would be the best time - people are silly and buy puppies for christmas presents and often people then discover how much work they are and how much money they cost at the vet - and they get rid of them. I probably need time without poor Sam so I don't constantly compare a new dog with him - but I would like a rescue, it's a good feeling to take in an unwanted dog that needs a caring home. Little Sam was dumped with his sister and I wished I could have taken them both in, but I couldn't afford it - but little Sam had the best life I could give him and he gave me much joy - so another rescue would be lovely. I will have to be patient in the menatime I am hating the empty quiet house!
I am off to get a pink slip check for my car and desperately hope expensive repairs won't be needed!
One of my pastimes Mark is to report animal abuse videos to Utube - especially the ones where they are stressing and mistreating wildlife - I hate watching them - but I have just succeeded in getting two channels removed, hooray! People do horrible things for money - mostly I report channels and they stay up - but finally Utube have agreed to stop two of them running any more. It's one tiny bit of good I can do in this world1

Hi Hanna I to didn't have any internet connection or phone connection either.Which wasn't good for my anxiety.I managed to text the twins for their birthday before I lost reception.
It is very sad the animal cruelty that goes on in this world. It breaks your heart to see it.
I have a cat that was a starving stray here when I moved in here 6 years ago so I adopted her after asking neighbours and was told it was a stray.
The school I suppose to ring later to let us know how he is going on camp.So hopefully they can get through ok.
A bit of cooler weather here at the moment which has made it enjoyable to work on my bike which I did today.
Take care,
Mark.

Hi Mark,
Let me know how the news is on your son - I can understand you being anxious about him - but hopefully he is having good time! How nice of you to take in the cat - I used to have one when I was a young girl that was more like a dog and it used to walk down the street with me each morning and wait with me for the school bus! Sometimes it climbed on board and the bus driver had to wait while I shooshed it off again!
I just took my car - a Honda Jazz - for its pink slip check and it failed because the front headlight covers have gone cloudy - it costs $165.00 to have them polished and fixed up! Gracious. That's on top of the greenslip cost. The bills never stop coming in.
I am off to have some dinner - my neighbour's mother died recently and the funeral was today and I have been sitting outside having a chat with her - I lost my Mum a long time ago and it's very hard. She seems to be coping well - she has some kind of mental health problem and has her carer with her so that's a big help.
She said how much she and her husband miss Sam - Sam had a big crush on her partner and used to run to him to say hello every morning.
Talk again later Mark and have a good evening!

Hi Hanna I never heard from the school.I only just got phone reception back after losing it again this morning. It is getting really annoying and really bad for my anxiety not being able to contact anyone or look anything up.My daughter should be coming this afternoon after work.
They can always find something that needs to be fixed on your car.I am glad we don't need to do that here every twelve months.I had a panic attack thinking that I hadn't paid my rego on my car.I have four vehicles registered and checked and they are all registered to next year.
I hope your day was ok.
Take care,
Mark.

Hi Mark, how amazing I only just logged on, first time today and you were just here a minute ago! Hey that is good news that your son has had a good time - now you can relax!
I've been trying to get another quote on the cost of re-doing the car headlight covers but none of the other smaller mechanics here knows how to do it. I had the mechanic I went to for the pink slip recommended by a friend, but I don't think I will ever go there again - I really think they are just finding something to make money! I'm stuck now as I took the car there for the rego check, so I have to go back there. Oh well, lesson learned - I won't use them again!
I had a boring day with various appointments and it was hot and muggy but has cooled down now thank goodness. We had a runaway couple of guys from a prison on the run in this area today - it's been on the national news - they stole a van - the police have caught them - I am a fair way away (about half an hour distant) and I was suprised how frightened people here were - I went to the library and the two women librarians were really worried. We were safely well away - people are very anxious these days and I think it's due to all the frightening news that we now get all day and night. When I was growing up we only had one daily newspaper and the national news on the television once at night, so we had less news to worry about!
You have a good evening Mark!

Hi Hanna yes getting your headlights polished is another expense you don't need.I have heard of people using toothpaste to polish them.Dont know if that works or not.My.headlights on my car still look clear and it's 18 years old.
People do get scared easy today. It is good they caught the prisoners.Their always seem to be someone escaping somewhere around the country.
I will be going to a meeting this morning at the high school to discuss my sons needs and how it will be placed in the school.Still got a lot of expense there for next year getting uniforms and books and a laptop they have to have today.Hopefully we can get the laptop through ndis like we did with my daughter for tafe.
Cloudy day morning here with a chance of some rain at lunch time.
Take care,
Mark.
