Hi Mark,

Is that because of the pandemic I suppose? That makes it harder for your daughter. Working with animals sounds like a good area for her to work. I hope she finds something that suits her, I guess it might take some time. It must be demoralising for her! It's not easy these days is it.

hi mark,

how did she go? there's always a lot of kids looking for work in dec and jan as they are free from school and wanting to earn some money... but i guess there are also a lot of summer jobs that come up. i remember feeling stressed trying to get a job at this time. i hope that she will find work and it will go really well for her.

Hi sleepy my daughter went ok by the sounds of it the problem is the distance for traveling as they wanted someone to come in the morning then the afternoon.Which will get a bit to much traveling.zit would have been ok if it was once a day.She was going to apply for a job sunflower picking and O thought it was going to be close as I am surrounded by sunflowers at the moment but it is one and a half hours away and 6 hours of driving for me will be to much unfortunately.

Hi Mark,

That's a shame about the jobs for your daughter. Is there anything else available for her? I can imagine it might be a bit difficult in a regional area. I hope she manages to find something, it would be great for her self esteem and self confidence too I think? 🙂

Hi Hanna she has applied for heaps of jobs and handed out a lot of resumes. It is very competive looking for work out here. She starts TAFE next Friday and will go on every Friday for that. She did her orientation on Monday by online. She still hasn't got her laptop yet as the NDIS has been stuffing us around but after talking to them on Monday saying she needs it as way of communicating with selective mutism and yesterday I got an invoice from them it has been paid for and is ready to pick up.

Hi Mark

Having the new laptop when it arrives and going to tafe sound like they should give her a boost! I guess the pandemic has made getting work more difficult.

What is your daughter going to study at TAFE?

I just had to run into town which is a fair drive to pay for the software for my daughter's laptop. The Laptop and case have been both approved by NDIS but the software that was needed on it has pending and they would do it to I paid the money or got approval for it and she needs it for Friday so they said it will be ready thursday.Their is an office for just NDIS at Harvey Norman and has a very nice lady running it.They do a lot of laptops for NDIS.They will reimburse the money if it gets approved.

Hi Mark,

Sounds like you're getting things sorted. That sounds like a great course for your daughter to study. Well done!
