I haven’t introduced myself but I don’t think that really matters.. I’ve been clean from self harm for 2 years now, But recently I just can’t help but think about suicide. Things are a lot better than they were family wise so that’s good… BUT I really really don’t like myself. I want to hide in a dark little room until I decay. It’s not that deep but I need someone to talk to as I know this is only going to get worst if I don’t do something.

Hi Sparkle-girl,
Welcome to the Beyond Blue forums. We’re glad you have been able to find us here in the midst of what sounds like a really distressing time. It was so brave of you to reach out here.
We want to take a moment to congratulate you on being free from self-harm for two years. That is an incredible achievement and something to feel proud of. Of course, it does not mean that the feelings go away, too. It sounds like those thoughts around not liking yourself and thinking about suicide are loud at the moment, which can be incredibly challenging to sit with.
Is there anyone in your life that you feel comfortable talking to? Sometimes it an be good to have someone we trust to help us out when it is all feeling like too much. Having a list of things or activities to distract yourself with when the thoughts are strong can be a good idea, too. While it may not seem like much, getting through those really tough moments is a huge achievement.
If you ever need someone to talk to right away, you can always reach out to Lifeline on 13 11 14, or 000 if you feel like you are worried about your immediate safety. While we are not a crisis service, you are always very welcome to reach out to us here on the Beyond Blue Support Service on 1300 22 4636, or via webchat here: https://www.beyondblue.org.au/get-support/talk-to-a-counsellor.
Our community is full of lovely people, and some have experience of dealing with similar experiences. We’re sure they’d love to hear a bit more about you and may drop by and share their thoughts here once they spot your post.
Kind regards,
Sophie M

hello and welcome to the forums.
t's great to hear that you've been clean from self-harm for two years; that's a really significant achievement.
I’m really sorry to hear you’re feeling this way. I'm writing this based off the title ... it’s important to talk about these feelings, and reaching out is a strong step.
Do any of your family or friends know how you are feeling? If you feel comfortable, consider connecting with someone who can help, perhaps even chatting with someone like your GP or counsellor?
Of course if you want to chat here, that's OK as well. Listening ....
