Dear Nat2022,

Im sorry that you are having a rough time. I recommend talking to a family or a friend about the feelings that you are experiencing. Sometimes talking to someone about how you feel can make a real difference.

If you are having suicidal thoughts or feel the intent to self harm, I advise you to call 000 and seek some support. Alternatively you could arrange an appointment with your GP and discuss your options of a mental health plan to speak to a psychologist.

You can also contact the beyond blue phone line and talk to a counsellor.

I hope this helps,

Tiana

Hi Nat2022,

The first idea came right from you: reaching out here, on this forum. Well done! You might don’t see it this way but for some taking this step might seem too difficult. So again: well done.

Would you mind sharing just a little bit more what has been going through your mind just to give us a better idea how to help you?

Here for you.

Dear Nat2022~

I'd like to welcome you here to the Support Forum, it's called support becuse there are people such as yourself seeking support, and others who, having been down a similar path, would want to help.

Now I know you have posted in a thread called 'Depressed' and have said you have a dark feeling you cannot shake.

Don't worry, there are plenty of ideas to assist but-

Well, it is very difficult to make a first post, and naturally you may not want to say to much to start with, which is OK, it does however have a down-side.

We can only give you generic advice on depression such as you would find anyway in

https://www.beyondblue.org.au/the-facts/depression/signs-and-symptoms?

Which has a ton of stuff, but is not personal to you or oyur situation.

You deserve better, so would you like to say a little more about your circumstances and the sort of dark thoughts you can't shake off?

Dark thoughts of one sort or another can come to anyone, no matter how good their lives look on the outside, or what problems you have.

For instance I started to get thoughts it was all too much, it was all my fault and I never sought any help, in fact I tried to hide it.

Bad idea, I ended up suicidal - though I'm fine now.

I do hope you come back and say more, this is a friendly place, nobody will know who you are, and we will understand straight away
