To all the beautiful people 🌞
Words placed in a particular order can have a profound effect on us.
Words can bring us a moment of comfort, give us a different perspective, or change the course of our thinking and outlook entirely.
I would like this to be a space where we share quotes that have meaning to us or that have the potential to bring some comfort or encouragement to somebody, even if just for the moment in which they are reading it.
I will start.
Courage doesn't always roar. Sometimes courage is the quiet voice at the end of the day saying, "I will try again tomorrow." - Mary Anne Radmacher
Go gently with yourselves lovely people.

If ever you feel you don't measure up to someone's expectations:
"You call me crazy and weird cuz I don't define your 'normal'. You find me cold, rude and not so pretty cuz I don't fit in your 'beautiful'. But every time you try to define a bit of me, you end up defining a lot of yourself."

Hello everyone..🤗..
“Finish each day and be done with it. You have done what you could. Some blunders and absurdities no doubt crept in; forget them as soon as you can. Tomorrow is a new day. You shall begin it serenely and with too high a spirit to be encumbered with your old nonsense.”

I realise the December/January period can be tricky for some people.
I understand that, for some people, this time can act as a reminder of loss, trauma, family issues, etc.
So here are some small words of comfort. Some words to acknowledge and validate the reality of your pain. To say, your feelings matter:
So I’m here to tell you that I see you and I hear you, and I’m sorry. I’m sorry this happened. I’m sorry you’re in this position. I’m sorry you feel so lost and overwhelmed. It’s awful and it’s unfair. And it makes sense. It makes sense that you’re hurting. It makes sense this is hard.

"When you're young, thunderstorms seem scary. Like the sky is angry at you. But now that I'm older, something about it's roar soothes me; it's comforting to know that even nature needs to scream sometimes".

On growth through self awareness and taking mindful actions:
Between stimulus and response, there’s a space, in that space lies our power to choose that response, in our response lies our growth and our freedom.

On acceptance:
"When you go out into the woods, and you look at trees, you see all these different trees. And some of them are bent... you sort of understand that it didn't get enough light, and so it turned that way. And you don't get all emotional about it. You just allow it. The minute you get near humans, you lose all that. And you are constantly saying 'You are too this, or I'm too this'. That judgemental mind comes in. And so I practice turning people into trees. Which means appreciating them just the way they are".

Human beings who leave behind them no great achievements, but only a sequence of small kindnesses, have not had wasted lives.
