To all the beautiful people 🌞
Words placed in a particular order can have a profound effect on us.
Words can bring us a moment of comfort, give us a different perspective, or change the course of our thinking and outlook entirely.
I would like this to be a space where we share quotes that have meaning to us or that have the potential to bring some comfort or encouragement to somebody, even if just for the moment in which they are reading it.
I will start.
Courage doesn't always roar. Sometimes courage is the quiet voice at the end of the day saying, "I will try again tomorrow." - Mary Anne Radmacher
Go gently with yourselves lovely people.

This personally brought me a lot of comfort when I stumbled upon it recently. I hope it also brings some of you comfort too 🙂
But the truth is there’s nothing wrong with you. You need what you need. And those needs are real and important and valid.
Your needs are allowed to look different than other people’s. Your limitations and boundaries are allowed to look different. Your reactions and abilities and how show up in the world - it’s allowed to be different.

There’s something to be said for how you hold yourself together and keep moving, even though you feel like shattering.
Don’t stop.
This is your healing.
It doesn’t have to be pretty, or graceful.
You just have to keep going.”

Hello everyone...I hope your all doing better then okay..
“The mind, properly controlled, can do just about everything. You can think your way through adversity, you can think your way through problems. It is a superpowerful instrument which so few use to maximum. And if the mind thinks with a believing attitude one can do amazing things.”...........~ Norman Vincent Peale

For those of you who might be struggling, I feel there’s a strength in your persistence in getting through each day, from resting to finding the motivation to wash the dishes (or anything really). It all counts:
I have endured pain and loss. I have felt broken. I have known hardship, and I have felt lost and alone.
But here I stand, trying to move forward, one day at a time. I will remember the lessons in my life because they are making me who I am. Stronger.
A warrior.

I don’t know if the next one is as relatable (?), but it’s how I personally get through life, so I wanted to share it. Sheer grit:
You just do it. You force yourself to get up. You force yourself to put one foot in front of the other...
You fight. You cry. You curse.
Then you go about your business of living. That’s how I’ve done it. There’s no other way.

Hi all,
I thought that I wanted to share some small wisdom. After all, this thread is called Words of comfort, encouragement and wisdom...
I’ve learnt certain things the hard (painful) way. So it was well timed that I stumbled upon the following today:
Having feelings for someone and knowing if they’re good for you are two different things. Don’t get them confused.

When a person goes into a relationship emotionally needy, they are not going to have discernment in choosing people.

your edge, soften.
Soften until you
slip through the
constraints and
can create a new
rhythm, a new
route, a new
release. Water
is soft yet powerful.
Reach your edge
and soften.

the pain and cruelty of
this world.
Be strong enough
to be tender;
to be soft and supple
like running water,
gracefully bending around
sudden turns,
lithely waving
in strong winds,
freely flowing
over sharp rocks,
quietly sculpting
the hard world
into ever deeper beauty,
gently eroding rigid rock
into silken sand.
True strength is not
found in the stone
but in the water
that shaped the stone.

Some very simple words of encouragement about allowing space for the full range of human emotions, both the beautiful and the painful...to do that is so brave in my eyes. So very brave...here’s to courage 🙂
The thing is I know I’ll be okay. But for now, I just need to feel the way I’m feeling.

Also, for anyone who is struggling or hurting, some more words of comfort for you:
There’s a crack in everything, that’s how the light gets in.
