To all the beautiful people 🌞
Words placed in a particular order can have a profound effect on us.
Words can bring us a moment of comfort, give us a different perspective, or change the course of our thinking and outlook entirely.
I would like this to be a space where we share quotes that have meaning to us or that have the potential to bring some comfort or encouragement to somebody, even if just for the moment in which they are reading it.
I will start.
Courage doesn't always roar. Sometimes courage is the quiet voice at the end of the day saying, "I will try again tomorrow." - Mary Anne Radmacher
Go gently with yourselves lovely people.

For anyone struggling with their own expectations of themselves. Struggling with where they are currently, this one is for you:
So put it down. Put down the shame and guilt and pressure. Put down the belief that if you aren’t able to reach a certain peak or perform the way other people can that it means you’re somehow failing.
Put it down and let whatever you do today be enough. Put down the judgement about what you could or should be doing, and today, let whatever you do be enough. Trust that in this moment, it’s okay to be here....you’re doing the best you can to navigate everything showing up for you, and that’s all you can of yourself. It’s enough.

Puddicat,
I'm lucky enough to have a cat, I wrote about him a lot in the "pets - tell us about yours" thread. I should start writing there again. It makes me smile 🙂

For those of us who are waiting for the beautiful outcome through endurance.

CHANGE IS PAINFUL IN THE BEGINNING BUT WORTH IN THE END.

Survival often depends on a specific focus: a relationship, a belief or a hope balanced on the edge of possibility. Or something more ephemeral: the way the sun passes through the hard, seemingly impenetrable glass of a window & warms the blanket, or how the wind, invisible but for its wake, is so loud one can hear it through the insulated walls of a house.
Elisabeth Tova Bailey
Think not of the amount to be accomplished, the difficulties to be overcome, or the end to be attained, but set earnestly at the task at your elbow, letting that be sufficient for the day.
Sir William Osler

For those of you who find home in gardening...I hope you keep nurturing that special corner of the world for yourselves and/or your loved ones. That gift of love is truly priceless 🙂
Don’t underestimate the therapeutic value of gardening. It’s the one area where we can use our nascent creative talents to make a truly satisfying work of art. Every individual, with thought, patience, and a large portion of help from nature, has it in them to create their own private paradise: truly a thing of beauty and of joy forever.

P.S. Music_Freak: It sounds as though you’re really struggling at the moment. I’m very glad you’re finding some comfort here though. Kind thoughts to you...
