What are three small (or big) achievements you’ve had today? Let’s cheer each other on!

Hello all,

Sometimes just doing the basics is so hard. It can be tough not to get down on ourselves when we’re struggling with things that ‘should’ be easy.

But we deserve to celebrate even the smallest achievements, because they are really feats of strength when you’re unwell. It’s ok if you can’t do everything. We know you’re doing your best, and that’s enough ☺️

What are 3 small (or big) achievements that you’ve had today?

For me: 1. I washed my hair

2. I drank two glasses of water

3. I sat out in the sun for 15 minutes

How bout you? Let’s cheer ourselves and each other on!

1/ Went on bike ride.

2/ Ordered a steak sandwich.

3/ Got home safe.

Today has just started, so yesterday's achievements were

- managing depressive thoughts more productively

-cleaning up an area in the garden I hope to use on warm winter days

- started reading a book a friend lent me to help with some issues

Today I

* managed booking my next 7 appointments with the clinic, the lady was lovely and I felt scared but kind of fine doing it. Usually at the point of 'scared' I get off the phone with some excuse. Not today. I was "ok".

* phoned a friend when I felt my anxiety rising. It was lovely and she's visiting soon with her new baby.

* was able to stay present for a very life changing phone call from one of my adult children. The events change all of our lives so sadly but we are strong together and we will survive this also.

~ went to work

~ ate lunch & staying hydrated

~ got the moderation done for a couple of facebook groups I moderate

Yesterday I managed to make it through the day at work without wanting to run away

I washed the dishes after dinner when I just wanted to leave them there until the morning

Stayed calm driving home through road restrictions with a truck so close behind me I could see the bugs on his windscreen in my rear view mirror.

Today I

* completed the Kessler assessment for my new psych which gives her some homework lol. I'm still shaking hours later from it but it's done now.

* made dinner from scratch instead of buying take away.

* supported an adult child for hours today.
