What are three small (or big) achievements you’ve had today? Let’s cheer each other on!

Hello all,

Sometimes just doing the basics is so hard. It can be tough not to get down on ourselves when we’re struggling with things that ‘should’ be easy.

But we deserve to celebrate even the smallest achievements, because they are really feats of strength when you’re unwell. It’s ok if you can’t do everything. We know you’re doing your best, and that’s enough ☺️

What are 3 small (or big) achievements that you’ve had today?

For me: 1. I washed my hair

2. I drank two glasses of water

3. I sat out in the sun for 15 minutes

How bout you? Let’s cheer ourselves and each other on!

Drinking water is a good thing- thanks for the reminder.

1. I told a colleague that the ‘virus’ was actually a mental health thing. She was kind in response.

2. I didn’t need a nap this afternoon. Hoping I can sleep through tonight.

3. It still hurts, but I’ve concluded that the expectations I had of a friend supporting me through this mental health episode were unrealistic given her capabilities. That it’s better for me to adjust my expectations of her and be a bit more realistic about what she can give rather than feeling disappointed, let down and resentful. Though I would love her support in all the ways I want and need it, reframing the situation is healthier for me. Hard won wisdom.

1. I made a phone call I had put off for a while

2. I was going to cancel something I had agreed to, but I did not.

3. I sent 2 emails I had been procrastinating about.

only 2 today,

I went to work despite only having 4 hours sleep. Deciding that it was only a blip, I am ok and i'll get through it.

doing more selfcare/meditation/being kind to myself.

I went for a walk instead of a bus

I made an effort to go out even though I am tired and hot.

I spoke to a friend and tried to sound ok for her as she was feeling down

we all shared of 3 achievements that we made in a day,

would anyone else be interested in sharing between 1 and 3 achievements a day as I really believe focusing on even 1 achievement is something positive which we can all benefit from.

My positive achievement today was being able to help in a food bank, providing food for the less fortunate.

I did not show any anxiety today which can often with the meds I am taking.

Both of these were really exciting and I did not think of anything negative today.

Look forward to hearing from anyone who is interested.

February 7. I love the concept of this thread.

My wins for today:
1) I got my daughter, wife and me to a family session with my daughters clinician on time.
2) I helped doing things around the house.
3) I went for a 5km walk.
