Three things to be thankful for today

Some days it is really hard to find anything to be thankful for when we feel overcome by the darkness and fog of depression. If I look hard enough, I can find something to be thankful for.
I would like to encourage others to write down three things they are thankful for, and to realise there is a sense of hope available to us all. Sometimes it is just a little hard to find!
So my three things for today are:
1: The lovely singing of birds in the morning as they welcome in the new day
2: The ability to read and write
3: A lovely hot shower.
Wishing all the "family" in BB Land a day full of noticing the nice things in life. Kind regards to you all, from Dools.

Hi there,
I liked your post. Being creative really helps me be thankful. I love scrapbooking old family photos and looking back on my journey through pictures. It helps me see how far I've come which keeps me motivated for the future.

- Finishing my latest yarn bombings project.it's a 4.2metre long 1.6metre long crocheted tree wrap for a very large pine tree at a local beach. I'm part of a group called the purly queens ,our latest campaign is to wrap 12 huge pines for arbour day. I love being in this group, its really helped my mental health,. But this month, especially the last 2weeks I've been battling the black dog and I've struggled to stay motivated to continue with something I usually passionately enjoy. but I finished it and it looks vibrant and colourful and I'm content.
- Went out with family, walked dog,had coffee and went to library but had no shakes or nausea,or massive headache,or audio sensitivity or need for a 2 hour nap, best day in ages
- our lovely new dog who brings us all love, laughter, comfort, and joy. He guards and protects me from the black dog with his red and white coat, amber eyes, sloppy kisses and constant happiness to be with me and listens to all I need to say but can't share with others. My canine counsellor
First time for me to do this post, hope it wasn't too long or rambling ,but glad I did it.

Hi Yarnartisan,
A bit like your own slant on a craft project, there is no right or wrong way to add your ideas to this thread! Thanks for sharing how you have been managing to keep the black dog at bay!
Three things I am thankful for today are
1) Eyes to see the natural beauty around me
2) Being in touch with so many caring people here at BB
3) I've finally finished painting and staining my shells
Wishing you great plans for the weekend!
Cheers from Mrs. Dools
