WAKE UP thread!
Our GOOD NEWS:
* eldest d is bringing her new car home today! She's been using either my car or my son's car for around 3 months (omg)! She's been saving for YEARS for this car + paying rent, raising her kids as a single parent with no Child Support, studying for her degree, crikeys. She'd saved $20k but needed to spend so much on her dog's Vet bills. STILL she bought a beautiful car. One son & youngest d are driving to the BIG SMOKE with her to pick it up today. Yay!
* I'm making a new recipe for a celebratory dinner tonight, Asian Style Pork Belly. I was so excited I woke at 5am to marinate it! Bought beautiful Asian greens to go with it. Having rice too ofcourse lol.
* I'm moving into a BEAUTFUL new Office at work, oh yeah! 😁🤣
OUT of the hub, it's too noisy & busy. The new space is PERFECT. I love it! Expansive views of nature & mountains, breathtaking views. I can see the Black Cockatoos squabbling & playing in the tree tops right outside my windows lol, and Lorikeets, Rosellas & other Cockatoos. Hope I get some work done!
* Youngest d is doing SO WELL! I'm SO PROUD of her! She's gone from "the edge" last year to coping really well even with crappy friendship issues at school ongoing. Her boss is pushing her to complete some modules (at her YOUNG age) so she can do more in the fast food place most of my children work at. She panicked a bit, then we talked about it, the fact her boss has major confidence in her to DO this. I didn't tell her he's training her up to KEEP her like the others & put them into next level Management.
I reminded her she likes expensive perfume lol and this means better paying shifts! 😂
She enrolled in SIX classes of dancing this year, she left last year. She's BACK!
* One son in Year 12 now has a Supervisor Interview, for same fast food place, THIS WEEK! He works so darned hard & they love him lol. He wants to work there for 4y after school until he "loses his baby face" lol, then join the Police force. He said "Look at me, no one wants to be pulled over by someone who looks like a KID" lol. (I didn't mention they ALL look like kids to me LOL!!)
* p.son is going GREAT! He's SO focussed on Yr 12 studies & is ABSOLUTELY certain he's moving home after Yr 12 so YIPPEE! He wants to study Accountancy at the Uni here.
Phew - so much work to get the kids from rocking in trauma responses to where they are now.
Love them to bits.
