Hi Everyone

If you have any good news in your life or seen any good news in the media please let us know in a brief post 😊

Note: I understand and respect this thread topic is not for everyone as any level of anxious/depressive feelings are awful to experience

Just for myself I have a couple of positives

  • Peta Credlin on Sky News gave Beyond Blue a huge mention earlier this week
  • My mum is still independent and doing well at 90 years of age and her lung function test is 'Normal' and still a smoker! Love you mum x

any good news is welcome...and thankyou everyone for being a part of the Beyond Blue forums too!

my kindest always...Paul

Good news

a few nights ago we were invited to a community group meeting and we were made to feel welcome .

More good news....I haven't played online gambling or real life gambling in months and feel better for it. I only play online if it's free and haven't spent any of my own money. I'm benefitting massively from this change bcas I was becoming out of control with the money I was putting in. If I was up hundreds I also kept playing and lost the lot.
I just couldn't trust myself.

WOW I am SO PROUD of you monkey girl!!

Woohooo!

That's freaking HUGE lol.

You've got this! lololol.

Lovely GOOD NEWS everyone!

So nice to read everyone's good news happening in their lives.

My GOOD NEWS is:

* prodigal son AND his gf came home for the whole weekend. It was JUST what we all needed. This weekend healed an uncomfortable rift between GF and all of us. She was happy and relaxed and chatting away.

* only 2 weeks till my leave begins yahoo! lol.

* GORGEOUS weather here today! It rained alot last night so I'm happy my water tanks are fuller now. Yay.

I want to say a massive THANK YOU to everyone who is on the forums, including ALL the Sophie_Ms lol.
You've ALL made the world of difference to my life and in turn the lives of my children.
Things have turned around for us in the MH sphere and I really appreciate every single person here.

I have no idea where or how we'd be without this forum, so from the bottom of my heart THANK YOU! and you and you and yep you too lol. Even YOU!!!

Keep living your BEST life!

Love EM

* Winning a HAM in a raffle!🍖🐖🎊

Hello Sleepy, thank you, but he is considered by Centrelink to be legally blind, I'm not sure why because his eyesight is pretty good but he's never held a car licence.

He used to ring me when he wanted something done around his house and known him for 30 odd years.

Kind regards.

Geoff.

Hey Paul and everyone reading

I really do appreciate the forums here so much, everyone.

I have good news! ... (I'll keep the yuck & other news to my thread lol)

I got a call from my Super fund this afternoon and they were really really nice to me about my application for release of some of my Super money.

They APPROVED it! The ATO already had but you just never know with these things. Not that I've done it before except for Family Law.

It's going to take another 5 - 10 business days, hoping all goes well in that time lol.

For whatever unknown reasons I felt guilty about taking it out, hence didn't apply in the first round and only applied this late in the 2nd round.... then my friend made me feel so much better when she said, "it's OKAY you doing this! This will help stimulate the economy so it all helps others too".

It HAS helped relieve the anxiety I was feeling over finances, somewhat.
So I guess I use less resources in that case also.

My fiancee was straight up saying "It's YOUR money anyway so take it if you need it!"
So much common sense that man lol.

Yeah I'm still trying to convince myself.

It's done now.
It's good news.

My other great news is that my blind chicken is loving life in her new home in our shower recess lol... we have to take her out to shower but she's okay with that too, little darling.

My OTHER good news is that I was feeling like a shag on a rock at work.
I try to be positive and helpful at work but that attitude doesn't fit in with our work culture.
Then a couple of nice conversations happened today and even ONE colleague phoned me tonight! That made me happy. She said she'll miss me while I'm on leave.

I love reading everyone else's good news no matter how big or small!

I'm trying to stay mostly in the "staying well" section in the forums to help me through atm.

Love EM

Hi Everyone

Hey EM.....your goods news always makes me smile (and the 70% of our audience who are the readers and the 30% that choose to post!)

Your fiancée is a legend for mentioning "It's YOUR money anyway so take it if you need it"! and good on you for having an early release of your super. I have done the same and wasnt comfortable at first yet its a smart move

EM also mentioned 'Then a couple of nice conversations happened today and even ONE colleague phoned me tonight! That made me happy. She said she'll miss me while I'm on leave' This is the best news EM as having support in our workplace is priceless! and hard to find

You have a huge heart by caring the way you do with your blind chook....and yes Im serious EM....Nice1

My good news.....my mum is still fit and healthy at 90!...and...I am collating my music tracks and music videos into one hard drive..omg..I sound like a nerd 😉 I think there are about 10,000 tracks

you are an asset to the Beyond Blue forums EM by providing the support you do to new and existing members

my respect and appreciation

Hello EM, it's your money and entitled for a redraw, because we can't predict what we'll be like when we can 'legally' have access to it.

Well done.

Geoff.
