So, how was your day?

I've had a busy kind of day that went very well. I have managed to work, go for a swim, had lunch in a park, enjoyed a coffee and biscuits with a client and looked at the second hand tent we have just bought ourselves.

I went down to the chook house to check on my "ladies" and had a chat with them while they clucked away waiting for me to feed them. I also had a look to see where we can set the tent up in the garden this weekend to try it out. I'm already thinking of places nearby where we can go camping. I will also ask my sister and nieces if they would like to join me sometime.

Please feel free to contribute and share how you have spent your day.

Cheers for now from Mrs. Dools

Hi Indra,

Just a quick hello to say "Goodaye" and hoping you and the boys are okay.

Cheers, from Lauren

Hi Lauren,

Life has been a little topsy turvy of late. We have had a house of flu - everyone is slowly on the mend. My poor eldest son was hit by it hardest. That is what I find the hardest when the boys are ill.

I have had a few highs and many lows recently - I guess all part of this rollercoaster that we are riding. I have read a few threads and hear that you now have some wooly additions! Good lawnmowers they make!

Hoping things have gotten a little brighter for you of late - at times I have some trouble coping, but lately haven't had much strength to reach out.  Loneliness can be an aggressive hunter - even when you get to meet people.

Tackling the mundane tomorrow, had a weekend away and after everyone being ill, I need to catch up around the house on some things. Unfortunately that never goes away lol

Wishing you well Lauren,

Take care and thanks for saying hi!

I have separated with my partner and am now a single mum to two highly energised children! My sister came down to stay with me to help out with this new transition..which I am so greatful for..but she left today and I feel so sad being here without her!

Hi Indra,

I am sorry to read you have all had flu. That is one thing I have never experienced, cold, bronchitis and pneumonia yes, but not flu.

I'm also sorry to read you have had quite a few low moments in your life recently.

I know what you mean regarding not feeling like keeping in touch with anyone. Sometimes when depression hits, it is a bit difficult to reach out and keep in touch with people.

Yes, we do have some borrowed sheep. They are not all that friendly yet, not sure if they ever will be as we are not going to have them for ever. They are doing a great job eating the grass and weeds and are making a lot of fertilizer! Ha. Ha.

The chooks are keeping well also. They are getting very good at running away from me when I let them roam around in the garden! I wouldn't mind so much if it wasn't for the foxes!

My clients are keeping me busy. One dear lady had me take her to the pet shop recently to help her bring home a canary. Hopefully this one will sing for her, other wise she will get rid of it! Ha. Ha.

Guess the canary will be one more thing I will help her clean up after when I visit hger. As long as she gets some pleasure out of the bird, that is the main thing.

I hope you are all feeling better soon.

Cheers for now from Lauren

Hi Veanon,

Thanks for sharing what is happening for you. It must be very tough for you finding yourself on your own with the children.

It is wonderful your sister was able to be with you and to help you out for a while. I am sure you will miss her.

Do you have friends whom you can invite over to visit now and then to help with this loneliness and hard time you are dealing with?

You may not feel like it now, but do you have hobbies and interests that you enjoy doing to help pass the time?

Are there any groups in your area you could join to be around other people?

I'm not sure if you have started up your own post on the forum somewhere. Maybe if you are wanting to reach out to more people you could do that.

Wishing you well in this difficult time. I'm not a Mum so don't really know what life must be like for you right now.

Cheers for now from Lauren
