Small achievement you managed to do today....How did it make you feel? Did it help you feel better today?

Hi everyone..

Their are days when just getting out of bed is a huge achievement...Other days we can achieve things like washing up the dishes or clothes, sweeping the floors, mopping the floors..very mundane and automatic robot like chores for the mentally well...They do these chores without even thinking about them...for people struggling with their mental health..these are huge tasks...

Very often I’ll get my vacuum cleaner out to vacuum ...then it will sit their for days, me looking at it, walking over it...until I can get motivated enough to vacuum..after I do find the motivation to vacuum...I am pleased with myself...
Right now I have a small foot cycling peddle machine, sitting on my front veranda..I got it out last week..to start exercising..it’s still their, I’m still looking at it...My thoughts each night is I’ll use it for a few minutes tomorrow..

My car hasn’t been washed getting close to a year now I think...Today I did managed to wash it....and discovered that it has a nice shine on it.....I did it...I achieved something positive today..which made me feel better in myself...

Have you achieved a little something today...and how did it make you feel...If you want to share that achievement it might make other people a bit more motivated to achieve something they need/want to do..

Looking forward to hearing about your achievement....and how it made you feel..

Little steps and achievements can lead to bigger steps..and bigger achievements...

My kindest and most caring thoughts...everyone.
Grandy...

hi all

yesterday i changed my sheets ( a few days ago i washed them) which was nice

however i didn't do th doona cover so today i'll try just remove the old doona cover and maybe set on a new one.

The doona cover is super annoying bcause it's delicate and can't bee washed with othre stuff - nxt time i'll get one a bit more hardy. Clean sheets boosts my joy 🙂

First and foremost let me begin by saying everyone’s achievements today whether it be getting out of bed to actually cooking a meal is such a significant and wonderful thing. Well done everyone. I genuinely mean that from the bottom of my heart.

it may not be a big achievement to others but if it’s a big deal to you it’s definitely valid! As cliche as that sounds.

Whilst it isn’t an achievement I completed today, I’m still feeling quite proud and a little relieved. Yet also upset and angry all at the same time. Earlier this week, I left my emotionally unavailable and quite verbally abusive partner of ten months. Wounds heal in time. And so does grieving. And lately I think I have been doing ok. I’m still continuing on with my university studies as I really do prioritise my learning and I also am very career focussed too!!

Hey PsychedelicFur WOW!!!

Wow and wow again!

I'm so proud of you leaving an abusive partner!

That's ground breaking stuff and SO WELL DONE!

We're all here for you and I'm pretty sure Grandy wouldn't mind if I asked if you have a Thread and what it's called?

Wishing you all the very best for your continued studies and visualising an awesome position in the career of your choosing.
Like nearly everything is of your choosing now!!
IT'S an awesome feeling.

Hello there ecomama,

how are you? I hope you are doing well. Thank you for the enlightening and positive response you replied with. Let me begin by also saying that I hope you had a wonderful day and achieved many great things that made you feel proud of yourself!

my thread is called ‘Leaving a toxic energy’ it is under the category of anxiety on the forums.

People keep telling me groundbreaking stuff and it is. And recently I recognised that people stay in relationships like that (or even worse) for years and years. Because they fear the lack of the so - called ‘compassion’ and ‘companionship’ Which is very sad.

identifying the problem at the early stages and noticing the red flags really helped me with my situation.

women, particularly young women are typically conditioned by society to stay in meaningless and cruel relationships that can sometimes disturb, drain, harm or injure us is so many more ways than one.

Happy to talk! Take care,

all the very best,

PsychedelicFur.

folded clothes that were on the floor.

put shirt in the cupboard.

Well done. That is something to be proud of.

Thankyou PsychedelicFur

I think there are more and varied reasons than those 2 you mentioned...it becomes ever so complex the more you delve into it with individuals but for some possibly those 2 are common.

Well done and see you round!

Hey Sleepy,

WELL DONE YOU!

Today I went to work.
Stayed behind for a special meeting which was lovely.

Saw my Psychiatrist and GP a few days ago. Seeing the Psychiatrist then my GP again next week, my Psychiatrist later next month.

Not really an achievement though I guess, not to me with myself anyway. I don't matter.
