Dear All
The purpose of this thread is as a meeting point for those that can’t sleep and it is late (I.E. AFTER midnight.)
It can be a useful space for users to share their issues with insomnia as well as coping strategies. It can also be a general space for users to converse and support one another throughout a difficult night.
Please note – for those that are just bored or lonely we already have a place - the BB Café, which I recommend instead of here

Hi Lillylane,
Thank you for your kind words, just reading them has been able to bring me out of the dark place that I'm currently in. It's been a really bad day due to my husbands drinking so I won't get any sleep tonight.
You're right a lack of sleep does really mess with your mind and you start to struggle with everything in your life.
I hope you are able to sleep tonight and I hope that your sinuses are better. Sinus issues can give you lots of pain as it causes so many other issues.
I'm just so tired of trying to keep going in my life that I've just about given up. I hate my life the way it is but I just can't change it.
I don't currently have a GP. I've aso found out that my counsellor will be away for the next three months. I understand but its hard without anyone to talk to.
I'd better get going and try to get some sleep but I hope that everyone gets a good nights sleep.
Regards,
Emo.

I am having this problem! They put me onto meds to help with the nightmares and flash backs because mine are horrific but it’s sending my blood pressure all over the shop and I now keep fainting and passing out. I’m headed back to the doctor on Thursday to find out what else I can do.
so at the moment I’m just not sleeping at all. For instance I had 4 hours of broken sleep on Sunday night then 2 hours sleep on Monday night and now I’ve been awake for nearly 24 hours and any attempt I make at sleeping I end up having a meltdown and a panic over the fact I don’t want to sleep. It’s just a never ending cycle. And I have all these sleep rules in place and nothing seems to help as I think deep down I just don’t want to sleep because when I’m sleeping I can’t protect myself because I won’t be on guard. It’s so draining 😞

Hey mb20lover,
I realised after seeing your post here, that you have your own thread somewhere else. So I’ve read what you’ve written there today. Then I went to reply and somehow I’ve lost it and now can’t find your thread. Argh! Sorry! I don’t know what I’m doing wrong with my searching...
Anyway, hope you’re having a good sleep. Hopefully I’ll be able to find my way around threads better in the morning.
Take care,
lillylane
