Dear All
The purpose of this thread is as a meeting point for those that can’t sleep and it is late (I.E. AFTER midnight.)
It can be a useful space for users to share their issues with insomnia as well as coping strategies. It can also be a general space for users to converse and support one another throughout a difficult night.
Please note – for those that are just bored or lonely we already have a place - the BB Café, which I recommend instead of here

Up and awake, just have some music on my headphones, just trying to think of better times.
I do like the night, the quiet is nice. Before Covid times, I used to go for early hours walks around my neighbourhood sometimes, just enjoying the quiet and fresh air.

For yrs l was an all nighter l'd get to sleep 5 or 6 am an hr or two before work. Love the night.
Well been in training last 12 mths and l get 6 ot 7hrs now with a little nap in the arvo after work. But 2am comes around so damn fast , drives me nuts and it's over , gotta sleep for my training or l'll slip back. Day light use to come around so fast it was so disappointing and the nights over in a flash.
So now it's 2am, which goes in 10mins. The pain.

Just wondering - does anyone sleep with a light on?
I’ve generally avoided it, thinking maybe it would keep me awake. But lately after waking from nightmares, I’ve tried leaving a lamp on and it seems to help me get back to sleep.

Dear Lillylane~
I find having a small light on when I wake from a nightmare helps me orient more quickly and lets the unpleasant dream fade. Being in the dark makes that time longer (no reference points in the real world I guess).
