Dear All
The purpose of this thread is as a meeting point for those that can’t sleep and it is late (I.E. AFTER midnight.)

It can be a useful space for users to share their issues with insomnia as well as coping strategies. It can also be a general space for users to converse and support one another throughout a difficult night.

Please note – for those that are just bored or lonely we already have a place - the BB Café, which I recommend instead of here

Up and awake, just have some music on my headphones, just trying to think of better times.

I do like the night, the quiet is nice. Before Covid times, I used to go for early hours walks around my neighbourhood sometimes, just enjoying the quiet and fresh air.

Hey black bubblegum, I’d be too scared talk around at night , too many dogs, enough come out barking in the daytime

Hey everyone I'm new here I suffer from anxiety depression sucks

Hi Monique's and welcome to the forums. This a great safe place to talk with caring understanding people.

Take care,

Mark.

For yrs l was an all nighter l'd get to sleep 5 or 6 am an hr or two before work. Love the night.

Well been in training last 12 mths and l get 6 ot 7hrs now with a little nap in the arvo after work. But 2am comes around so damn fast , drives me nuts and it's over , gotta sleep for my training or l'll slip back. Day light use to come around so fast it was so disappointing and the nights over in a flash.

So now it's 2am, which goes in 10mins. The pain.

It’s 2am and I have been awake for 30 mins.
random in have not slept for more than 2 hrs at a stretch for decades.

a big hello to everyone who is awake who would rather be asleep.

Yeah right. that was me but over 12mths now l've been doing my training and it's working pretty good, sleep ok lately but l have to draw the line at 2 or l'll be back to all nighters,

How have you coped quirk does it effect you or ? l was actually fine not sleeping , if anything l'm more tired now with sleeping so it's weird really.

Just wondering - does anyone sleep with a light on?

I’ve generally avoided it, thinking maybe it would keep me awake. But lately after waking from nightmares, I’ve tried leaving a lamp on and it seems to help me get back to sleep.

Dear Lillylane~

I find having a small light on when I wake from a nightmare helps me orient more quickly and lets the unpleasant dream fade. Being in the dark makes that time longer (no reference points in the real world I guess).
