Dear All
The purpose of this thread is as a meeting point for those that can’t sleep and it is late (I.E. AFTER midnight.)

It can be a useful space for users to share their issues with insomnia as well as coping strategies. It can also be a general space for users to converse and support one another throughout a difficult night.

Please note – for those that are just bored or lonely we already have a place - the BB Café, which I recommend instead of here

Hi Mark,

Hope the appointment goes ok for you tomorrow.

How’s your recovery been going? Is it difficult to get into a comfortable position to sleep? I really struggled with that after surgery.

l have a weird thing and l wondered if anyone else is like this.

l absolutely love going to bed , even if l don't sleep , l don't care whatever l just can't wait to go to bed.

But , l also just love waking up in the morning too , love it, often 5 or 6 am l check time and ahh whatttt, only 5, damn it. bc l like to wake up until about 7 , speaking of too l can actually make myself wake up within about 30second of an exact time for mths on end if l want too , nother story, like say 704.15 , or 17sec's or whatever the case. l often know l've done it again so l purposely stay asleep a few more minutes just to be a different time on the clock. lt's useless, not like l can pick lotto or anything useful but never the less. Do anyone else do that ?

But anyway yeah l absolutely love going to bed but absolutely love waking up too. Suppose it's the best of both worlds though really then right.

rx

Yes me too - I can pick a time I want to wake up.

If say I have to leave home unusually early for a long car trip tomorrow, I can tell myself to wake up at 3.40am, and the next morning I will wake up at exactly 3.40am. It’s a bit weird but I’ve been able to do that for as long as I remember!

Hi Lillylane it is very uncomfortable sleeping,I just can't get comfortable at all.Didnt get much sleep at all and my anxiety was through the roof.

Ah right , l have know people that can wake them selves up for something. l'll usually wake up one minute before the alarm , damn it, after all the trouble of setting it just in case. But haven't come across anyone else that can continually wake up at a same time everyday within seconds , so there ya go your the first lilly.

How come matchy , bed problems or body problems , how's your bed ? l need a new mattress myself.

Hey Matchy

How did you go at your appt today?
Thinking of you.

Hey rx, yeah I can do that too... it is kinda strange but years ago I read an article about ppl who can do this, so I didn't feel so alone lol.
It was something to do with these ppls childhoods if I remember correctly.

I think it's a gift really!

I was dreaming that I really wanted to have a 5am talk with BF this morning.
Alarm set for 6:30am.
I woke at 5am.
Phoned BF and was happy lol.

OMG I'm watching this YouTube lady and its a bit freaky!

BF thought I'd like to watch "Disasters of the Century" what FUN! Lolol!
Since our area has been declared a disaster zone with the rains...BF likes to distract me with superfluous stuff lol.

An amazing YouTube series I watched was "Catastrophe" omg.. just a man thinking in his attic led to the most amazing investigations of a worldwide phenomenon and HE solved it entirely!
I won't spoil it. Freaking amazing.

In body alarm clocks to disasters?
I'm tired lol.

Love EM

Hi Mark, I hope your appointment went well today
