Hi I am new to the forum. I suffer with chronic pain ,depression and grief and currently have worring problems with my adult children.

One has had major surgery and the other has been on drugs and has ongoing legal issues and mental health problems.

With xmas close I am not coping well and need some support. I am hoping talking on the forum will help me.

Hi Lumlo,

How are you feeling now?
When is your next appointment with the Psychologist? Explain these overwhelming feelings, panic attacks to them and see if they can help talk them through with you. Maybe even bring up CBT.

Try not to look at everything all at once. It's always going to be impossible and overwhelming if you're trying to take on everything at once. One or two problems at a time and remember to breathe and pat yourself on the back. You're doing a great job and it's amazing that you are taking these steps to help yourself.

Keep up the baking! I love Banana Bread so i imagine the muffins would taste AMAZING! 😛

Hi Rabbit33

Yes my partner really enjoyed the muffins and me too.😊

Im feeling very low and overwhelmed still. I saw my physcologist yesterday and she gave me some coping strategies for panic attacks. So hopefully they will help.

Im doing all the things suggested but I guess I ve just reached my limit now. I woke up this morning in tears not a good start but had a healthy breakfast and will go for a walk soon.. I will try to keep busy today to help distract my thoughts and look for another netflicks series to binge on to relax later.

Hi Lumlo,

You're doing great! Just keep it up, you'll be okay. These things just take time and you've been pushing yourself way too hard for too long.

Oh Netflix! I love Netflix! What series are you into?
I've been hooked on House of cards and Outlander as of late.
I also really enjoyed Orphan Black, Breaking bad, Sons of Anarchy & Shameless. (Just to name a few hehe )

Hi Rabbit33

Yes I am exhausted. Didnt manage much today but did a walk ,made food ,mostly just took it easy. Struggled to get out of bed, then thought, "why not" and rested.

I like Outlander too. Jessica Jones, the Good Witch and Grace and Frankie as well as others on netflix.

Maybe tomorow will be more productive. Lumlo

Hi Lumlo,

How are you feeling today?

Some good shows you mentioned! My Mum got me onto Outlander, we've been binge watching it for the past week and she's got me totally hooked on it! lol

Hi Rabbit33

I am feeling bit better today. Watched a good movie on netflix last night called Close.

My stitches are sore today and it was a shock when I took off the dressing day 5 and saw how big the hole is and when it started to bleed again. Its hard to not use my right arm which pulls on the stitches . At least the skin cancers off n o w so in time it can heal.

Yes Outlander is good but I have watched it all. Maybe a new season will come out. 😊

Hi.

Feeling so low today. Finding it very hard to cope now. Exhausted but cant sleep depression I think again.

Things are not getting any easier and I do not have the energy to manage the daily tasks anymore. Trying to support my family is too much for me. My chronic pain has flared up again just wish I could stay in bed today.

Hi Lumlo,

I'm so sorry to hear you're not coping well. Try taking a step back and have a look at how far you've come over the past months and reflect on it. You need to be proud of what you've achieved and keep searching for strength to continue moving forward. It's hard but you can do it!
It sounds again like maybe you're focusing too much on everything else rather than yourself.
Have you tried making a self care plan?
Sometimes this can help. It is so important to be taking care of yourself first.

Hope you're feeling a bit better. Sending positive vibes your way!

Hi Rabbit33

Bit better today but just so exhausted all the time.

Im working on self care, seeing a new physcologist weekly atm and working on my anxiety. Walking most days, eating healthy , pushing myself to connect with friends, doing aromotheraphy again. Yesterday I bought a big crossword/suduko book to try and keep my brain active.

Today had my stitches out and good news they got all the cancer so all ok, only after care for the wound now. Going to have a nanna nap today, after all I am a Nan.

Keep battling on. Lumlo

Hi.

Not sure if anyones got any ideas but I am just so exhausted cant stay awake. Struggling to get up in the morning and by lunchtime Im falling asleep . A few times just dozed of watching TV.

Eating well and exercising daily and going to bed early, taking a multivitamin but barely able to keep awake. Its a big change for me and not improving.

Any suggestions????
