A Bouquet for Pearls - share your appreciation for other members

Every now and then, members share a beautiful Pearl of Wisdom. How often do you think to yourself; "OMG that's great! I wish everyone could see this."

Presenting someone with a bunch of flowers is a generous way of acknowledging their insightful words.

I hope this thread stays active through members giving out praise regularly to people they feel deserving, and therefore keep generosity of spirit alive within the pages of BeyondBlue Forum.

My bunch of Red Roses (my choice) goes to Wishful for the following sentence;

  • 'Personally, I see no reason to be praised in me, but I'm learning that seeing through the eyes of others can be more accurate!!'

I so hear you Wishful. Just beautiful...

  1. Try to keep your leading comments short to focus on 'their' words.
  2. Choose specific flowers (or a gift if you like) to present to them.
  3. Sign off respectfully and sincerely.

I hope this takes off...

Spreading the love...Sara

Thank you all for being here. I appreciate this space so much and can see how much it helps people.

Sophie Moderator (is that you last name? lol) is so sensitive and kind in her words. She allays any fear we may have for the safety of other members by saying they have emailed or phoned them. I go 'phew'. So thank you to Soph.

Croix you shone a guiding light JUST a step along my path. You were gentle in your approach and wise in your words. The decisions I made to take a new path in helping to heal myself is 50% on you. Thank you. My children and grandchildren thank you too. You have made a huge difference and made me laugh too.

Sarah you are so sweet! Thankyou for being one of the first to welcome me. Thankyou for your being so warm and gentle and kind and supportive.

TonyWK man... what an amazing guy. I am in awe of you. If I could have just 5% of your literary genius when I grow up then I would be SO HAPPY. Thankyou for sharing your poetry with us. It is so beautiful.

Neerja beautiful girl. Thankyou for coming to BB and sharing your journey. I'm so grateful for meeting you. I respect and value you. You've given me faith that there are intelligent, thoughtful, insightful young people who are equipping themselves courageously for the future. We love you, our younger generations. We've got you and will hold on tight till you learn to fly. xxxx

I want to deeply thank all of the people you have helped me out, gave me hope and kindness, through the storms these people were the rainbows to me and said things that I never expected people to say to me.

Ecomama: you have made me laugh so many times, given me so much support, kindness and hope. Thank you for being there for me and sharing your own experiences.

TonyWK: you have shared beautiful poems, given me so much kindness, advice, support and helped me see things in a different perspective. Thank you for being there for me and sharing your experiences and poetry.

Aaronsis, Sarah: you have given me so much kindness, advice, hope and support. Thank you for being there for me and being so sweet and caring and sharing your own experiences.

You have all made me feel better since the first time I posted, I don't feel that alone anymore. I feel like that I got my first best friends. I can't thank you all enough. I really appreciate that you all have done for me.

Kindness and support can reach a wound that only compassion can heal.

We need more people like you in this world! 😄

Hi Neerja

We actually need more people like you.

In a few years you could easily advise young people through the same ordeals. You have that gift.

Dear Neerja

Wow thankyou and I made you laugh?? lol ummm great! 😉

You are a very sweet and kind person and I agree with TonyWK, with your life experiences even this far, you would make a wonderful support person for other young people. We most DEFINITELY need more people like you in our world.

But for now, you are in 'our world' here and we are happy for that! One day you will be freer, have more choices and opportunities. I hope you can share that journey with others too one day.

And you just made entries into your 'Gratitude Journal' right here! Wow girl, you are really smashing this self-care jive.

Love

Thankyou to everyone in the forum who extends their helps to others, thankyou so much for helping me.

I have reached out more to my IRL friends since joining and I can only attribute this to the members of this forum. I had mostly closed down from everyone outside my immediate family.

As I read more and saw more people interacting, I realised there are kind and thoughtful people in our world. Most of them are here lol! But I knew I had been neglecting my IRL friendships very badly.

So I have made more calls in the past few weeks than in the past year or more to my friends. And they have been so happy to hear from me. Some have offered to meet that I actually agreed to, surprise surprise. Tonight I even laughed & felt happiness and I can't thank BB enough for being a major factor in changing my life.

The helpline was there when I needed it too. I made my first appointment to see a new psych and I had been over the top with anxiety every step of that path, if you couldn't tell. Almost there. Getting there. I know tough times won't disappear but being able to cope better is my goal.

I love how we can explore things outside MH issues to wellbeing offerings.

Thankyou Moon and Mara for sharing your lives with me / us. I wanted a feeling of belonging and I feel that I have it now.

Heartfelt thanks to everyone who makes this forum the wonderful place that it is. You are changing so many lives for the better. My children, grandchildren and I thank you.

Love EM

Thankyou to you EM for being a part of the Beyond Blue forums and your super kind post 🙂

Dear Neerja;

As others have stated, every now and then someone shares 'their heart' in words that touch our own.

Your post is a beautifully written and gracious example of gratitude for the support you've received from members on this forum. Reading it was a gift...thankyou

You wrote:

I've been the recipient of such compassion since joining in 2015 and would not be who I am without it. So I reiterate your sentiments and shout them from the mountains for all to hear.

Sending you a bouquet of pale pink tulips to place in your home as a gentle reminder of how you've helped me remember my own gratitude.

Warm thoughts;

Sez x
