A Bouquet for Pearls - share your appreciation for other members

Every now and then, members share a beautiful Pearl of Wisdom. How often do you think to yourself; "OMG that's great! I wish everyone could see this."

Presenting someone with a bunch of flowers is a generous way of acknowledging their insightful words.

I hope this thread stays active through members giving out praise regularly to people they feel deserving, and therefore keep generosity of spirit alive within the pages of BeyondBlue Forum.

My bunch of Red Roses (my choice) goes to Wishful for the following sentence;

• 'Personally, I see no reason to be praised in me, but I'm learning that seeing through the eyes of others can be more accurate!!'

I so hear you Wishful. Just beautiful...

1. Try to keep your leading comments short to focus on 'their' words.
2. Choose specific flowers (or a gift if you like) to present to them.
3. Sign off respectfully and sincerely.

Hi all,

When we feel low and vulnerable it is really difficult to force ourselves to keep walking forward and trying.

I want to thank Sara. Fresh lavender to help you rest. And lemonbalm because it makes a lovely herbal tea to ease stress.

You've have volunteered as a CC for a very long time. So you know as well as I do that sometimes conflict here is inevitable.

There is a pinned thread by Dr Kim called "taking things the wrong way on the forums and in life" for this very reason.

It doesn't mean it doesn't hurt.

And most of all conflict makes it easy to doubt yourself and doubt your value and question whether you are needed here.

You are needed and valued and respected Sara.

Please be gentle to yourself today and remind yourself you are giving of yourself to try help others.

Yes, it was a tough gig yesterday. 🥀 Flashbacks of previous events and fear of it happening again was at the core. As CC's we're not immune to the up's and down's of foreboding and challenges that come with MI. Our badge doesn't protect us from being human.

I'm so grateful for your words of support and encouragement. I breathed a sigh of relief while reading them.

We all have our battles; CC's more than most as we navigate member's trials and tribulations as a priority. It IS a credit to us that we can come back from it to continue our valuable contributions as peer supporters. We can't learn unless we do..

You're a gem Nat; lavender and a herbal tea fits the bill nicely. ☕️👌
