A Bouquet for Pearls - share your appreciation for other members

Every now and then, members share a beautiful Pearl of Wisdom. How often do you think to yourself; "OMG that's great! I wish everyone could see this."

Presenting someone with a bunch of flowers is a generous way of acknowledging their insightful words.

I hope this thread stays active through members giving out praise regularly to people they feel deserving, and therefore keep generosity of spirit alive within the pages of BeyondBlue Forum.

My bunch of Red Roses (my choice) goes to Wishful for the following sentence;

  • 'Personally, I see no reason to be praised in me, but I'm learning that seeing through the eyes of others can be more accurate!!'

I so hear you Wishful. Just beautiful...

  1. Try to keep your leading comments short to focus on 'their' words.
  2. Choose specific flowers (or a gift if you like) to present to them.
  3. Sign off respectfully and sincerely.

I hope this takes off...

Spreading the love...Sara

Hi everyone

Thanks so much to you all. When I first joined I thought nobody would understand my crazy life or head. I have by no means shared my whole story because last time I did the person had a break down but everyday on here let's me know even in the darkest moments of life that Stars shine bright to show the way and banish the darkness of the mind.

Thank you all so much if I could bottle the tears of joy since finding you all it would turn the Nulabore into a water park.

I agree with you 100%.

Well deserved GG.

I have always said I would like you to save some of the compassion you have for others for ourself.

I have been honoured to have watched you on your journey.

Hi Everyone 😊

Today I wanted to give Mrs D (Dools) a field of everlastings for this gift to all of us....

I often question my purpose in life and why am I here. Then I try to think of some of the positives in my life and reasons why I might have been here all these years.

Maybe is was:

to save my sibling from nearly drowning one day,

to give a hug to a man at the beach who was close to suicide one day,

to smile at a stranger in a street and have no idea what that smile might have meant

to offer a word of encouragement to someone

to provide my husband with someone to live with

to let other people know how special they are

to add my character and personality to the world around me.

How beautiful are these words? A reminder to every single one of us who struggles with suicidal thoughts and the horrible feeling of "they would be better off without me" that our purpose doesn't have to be obvious or showy. Something as simple as a smile or an act of kindness can change someone's life for the better.

Thank you Mrs D for reminding us that we are all worthwhile.

❤ Nat

hi Everyone, it doesn't matter how much you have gone through in life or how old you are you always learn something new everyday, and yesterday I want to thank Paul (Blondeguy)for his experience and knowledge in providing me with some important information that I now don't do.
Thank you, Paul. Geoff.

Dear Nat,

Thank you so very much. I don't always check out this thread, this morning I felt like I needed to. Your words and my own written thoughts shared here have helped me today to remember that I too count in this world and I can make a difference.

I offer you a field full of blooming tulips in multiple colours to help brighten your day!

Cheers to you and hugs to all from Mrs. Dools

Just a big thank you to everyone.

Since joining BB my family is more relaxed now I have like minded people to run my anxiety and depression by. It's ment my son can now be a normal kid again without me talking my problems over with him and with less stress from me my husband is nearly a year ahead in his recovery from PTSD and retrograde amnesia. Even my GP asked how this is possible.

I told him it's from the love and support of the people both old and new on Beyond Blue.

Guys you've saved me and my family.

Words will never be able express my gratitude.
