A Bouquet for Pearls - share your appreciation for other members

Every now and then, members share a beautiful Pearl of Wisdom. How often do you think to yourself; "OMG that's great! I wish everyone could see this."

Presenting someone with a bunch of flowers is a generous way of acknowledging their insightful words.

I hope this thread stays active through members giving out praise regularly to people they feel deserving, and therefore keep generosity of spirit alive within the pages of BeyondBlue Forum.

My bunch of Red Roses (my choice) goes to Wishful for the following sentence;

  • 'Personally, I see no reason to be praised in me, but I'm learning that seeing through the eyes of others can be more accurate!!'

I so hear you Wishful. Just beautiful...

  1. Try to keep your leading comments short to focus on 'their' words.
  2. Choose specific flowers (or a gift if you like) to present to them.
  3. Sign off respectfully and sincerely.

I hope this takes off...

Spreading the love...Sara

Hi everyone,

I would like to say a special thank you to Demonblaster (DB) for all her efforts, compassion, dedication and commitment in supporting so many of us here.

In particular, for her wisdom and caring on “Suicide: why not? (Warning possible triggers)” thread. As can be expected just from the title of the thread, it’s not an easy thread to consistently support due to the heavy nature of it.

But DB has truly gone above and beyond in her ongoing support and encouragement of so many people there.

I once said this on that very thread and I’ll say it again here but I feel just as lightness and humour needs a voice, darkness needs a voice too. And maybe, just maybe...if we share enough of that darkness, we will find our way back out again, which highlights the importance of threads such as DB’s one...

Thank you DB for giving so many a “voice” for their pain on that thread.

You are a beautiful person. As we give virtual gifts here, I could give you anything...but I have another idea, how about we give you the gift of our lasting friendship and a love avalanche instead 🙂

Pepper xoxo

Hi Everyone...

Sad Mushroom wrote a wonderful post on another thread....If SM doesnt read the Bouquet thread could someone please 'poke' him and let him know he is a legend for writing;

"Just found out that Centrelink here and some of the job search agencies have been putting up lists of places that have Christmas lunch and activities for people that will be alone over Christmas and also providing phone numbers for people who wish to volunteer to help. The lists are provided by the churches etc that are offering or asking for help.
Not sure if it is everywhere or everyone's cup of tea but for those who are interested"
!!!

It doesnt get any better and good on you SM!

Happy Christmas to you!

Paul

oh how kind of you Paul

thank you very much! xox

Hi all

I would like to offer Karen (GG Grand) a huge bouquet of snap dragons and carnation for her reply to SHAMED in his thread "Promise not kept"

Karen has this year been struggling to get "over the hurdle" of extreme sadness and life challenges which has included a dismal past life.

I applaud you Karen that even though you are struggling every day you can on occasions reach out to others in the manner you did with SHAMED. A comprehensive supportive post.

Thankyou GG
