A Bouquet for Pearls - share your appreciation for other members

Every now and then, members share a beautiful Pearl of Wisdom. How often do you think to yourself; "OMG that's great! I wish everyone could see this."

Presenting someone with a bunch of flowers is a generous way of acknowledging their insightful words.

I hope this thread stays active through members giving out praise regularly to people they feel deserving, and therefore keep generosity of spirit alive within the pages of BeyondBlue Forum.

My bunch of Red Roses (my choice) goes to Wishful for the following sentence;

  • 'Personally, I see no reason to be praised in me, but I'm learning that seeing through the eyes of others can be more accurate!!'

I so hear you Wishful. Just beautiful...

  1. Try to keep your leading comments short to focus on 'their' words.
  2. Choose specific flowers (or a gift if you like) to present to them.
  3. Sign off respectfully and sincerely.

I hope this takes off...

Spreading the love...Sara

Snap dragons are out! And they all go to

Mrs Dools

She reminds me of my favourite aunty.

My Auntie was soft, warm and spoke to me lovingly. She had a hard life but that didnt stop her giving. For giving was her.

She wore long dresses and there was always at least one child hanging onto it. She baked cakes and biscuits.

She'slikely much younger than I. But that doesnt matter, she has that warmth.

Mrs Dools

Off all lifes gifts

One stands bare

The gift of nurtre

The gift of care

For one can touch

And one can live

But you Mrs Dools

Your gift is to give

I no longer have a mum

Good mums are few

If I could choose my own mum

I'd model her on you...

Dear Tony,

Thank you so very much. Your kind words have me in tears, tears of joy for the precious memories I have of children, so many children belonging to others, who over the years have shared their laughter and joy with me.

Some of those children I still see as young adults, and it makes my heart melt with happiness when they still call me "Aunty".

For some of us, the tough times help us to flourish and to show love and care for others.

Thank you for your words, the snap dragons and the beautiful sentiment.

Cheers from a very gracious and thankful Mrs. Dools

Thanks again for the very kind thoughts.

We may never know how timely a kind word is or a smile to a stranger on the street can be.

Each of us here help to make this community what it is. We all have our own stories, our own journeys and ways of thinking and behaving.

When I first joined this forum, there was a lady whom I desired to be, her words to others seemed so inspiring. I soon realised that I was not her, I am me.

Some people here are very witty and intelligent, some can write such poignant one line responses that have me in awe, some are descriptive, inventive, outside of the "usual box" (what ever that it) in other words, we are all ourselves and we all add to the community here.

Sending our a huge Cheer to All who make this forum what it is.

SotrueDools,

Recently in one ofmy extreme lows I was desparate for help, sitting having durry & an elderly man smiled & made a comment to which i reciprocated, it didnt take away the pain but eased it slightly & took me temporarily outta the deep chasm.

He'll never know what a difference his smile & cheery comment did for a stranger but I'll never forget that

it's a lovely connection smiling with people & scientific fact it does lift spirits, I've had some beautiful moments with people, 3 blokes in particular on separate occassions, not a sexual thing just a moment in time.

Doesn't take much aye
