My partner has bipolar issue. At first, I tried to understand his situation. We always communicate on how to work things out between us. But still I end up suffering more. My needs are always not met because of his moods. When I do good things for him, he always take me for granted. He loves me and 5 minutes later he is angry. I don’t know what to do.

Hi Fridays
Welcome to the forums. Thank you for sharing this post, you sound like a very supportive partner. Bipolar disorder is complex and can be quite distressing for those around them/caring for them. The first step in supporting those with bipolar disorder is to understand their diagnosis as well as supporting them to seek help. Black dog institute has some fantastic information on their website about Bipolar Disorder as well as some resources that your partner can use to find help.
Understanding bipolar disorder: https://www.blackdoginstitute.org.au/resources-support/bipolar-disorder/
Help and support: https://www.blackdoginstitute.org.au/resources-support/bipolar-disorder/help-support/
That being said, it is ultimately down to your partner to seek help and manage his symptoms. The best way to encourage this would be to have a discussion about how his behaviour or symptoms are affecting you and why you think it would be best for him to seek further support. You could help him by attending a doctor appointment with him or navigating resources online with him. Ultimately the onus is on him however and you shouldn't blame yourself if you feel the relationship is unhealthy due to his behaviour.
Hope this helps. Keep us updated.
Bob

Good morning
Friday
It is great to meet you.
I hope you are feeling oright. I totally come from a place of understanding. I am a person with bipolar but my bipolar is under control. It is important that you have hope that everything will be okay. It took a long time to accept my bipolar and come to peace with it and the nature of the illness. I know it is a difficult situation but must have faith that it will be oright for you.
I hope you have a wonderful day
