Hi Little Blue Bird,

Welcome to Beyond Blue and to the community here.

I'm sorry to read that you are struggling so much at present.

If you don't mind, I have a few questions to ask you. Who is it that has been making you feel so put down and miserable? Is this person still in your life?

Have you been to talk to your Dr or a mental health professional of some kind to help you sort out how you are feeling?

I am not a Mum of live children, and certainly not by choice.

As a child I saw my Mum struggling to bring us up the best way she could while dealing with a mental health issue of her own.

I have depression, suffer from stress and a few other issues.

Being unemployed doesn't help either, I have been there and my husband has been looking for work for two years as well with nothing on the horizon.

I have no idea where you live, but is there any chance you could sign up to do some volunteer work? I have managed to gain employment through doing this in child care and aged care.

If you are able to volunteer, all sorts of opportunities may present themselves. You will meet new people and build up your self esteem.

We recently moved to a small town. I joined the local Country Fire Service and now have some new friends and new skills.

Do you have interests and hobbies that you can pursue to help you feel better?

If you don't mind me asking, how old are your children? Are there activities you enjoy doing together?

I don't want to bombard you with too much in my first response! I don't want to scare you away!

I hope some of this helps you and I hope you get back to me if you are up to it.

Cheers for now From Mrs. Dools or Lauren

Hi Little Bird Blue, I really feel for you.....as in there are no words....My mum went through exactly what you are going through........for 49 years. Without judgement I hope you can try even a little to get away from the person that is making you feel this way....

I have a very tiny support network of 2 people, and thats the best I can do.....You dont deserve any of this Blue..I just hope you have some type of support network (somebody you can call) available to you

My mum left the abuse and is now independent and happy. However in the meantime.....Nice1 for having the guts to get on BB and talk to us 🙂

Kindest Thoughts

Paul
