Introduction - Hello Everyone

Hi all,

I'm new to this forum. I'd like to introduce myself. I'm 40 years of age, female. My interests include music (any genre), reading a great novel, watching comedy, Restuaranting, and learning new things. I suffer from depression and anxiety. Depression feels very lonely for me. I'd like to reach out for some support. Thank you.

Spray tan for your reunion is a MUST!! I love the look, a healthy glow .. very nice. It's super sexy. Beautiful. You're lucky to have nice, defined eyebrows. I have to shape mine, then groom it to keep the shape myself to save a bit of money.

As you used to be a make up consultant, I won't even dare counter what you've suggested. If I may, my rule of thumb is with make up is that: If you go 'heavy' on the eyes, say with the cat-eye liner and smouldering look, I'd downplay on the lips with a more neutral colour liner and lips. And of course, clear gloss to finish. Or, the reverse. Downplay on the eyes and have darker, plumper shade for the lips.

Sleepy, I'm glad you like the colour contrast. Yeah, sateen is beautiful, however like anything it all depends on what the thread count is. If not made properly, they can look bad.

I hope you've found a brow place. I wasn't able to go do it today, I might go tomorrow. Have you had a blow wave yet? Exciting, exciting.

You said: "Whats the thoughts on the tatoo? i like that spot behind the wrist and also kinda like behind the neck and on the ankle. It doesn't dominate nor is it easily noticable...Worth a thought!" - I have one on the back of my neck (starts from the top of shoulders and down (it's only a small one)(It's hidden as clothes and hair cover it); one on my lower back (again hidden - pants cover it) and another somewhere else. All of mine are hidden, except one on my lower back, you can see it when I bend over.

I think I might just go for it on my wrist, as I've been thinking about it for 2 years now and I haven't changed my mind about it, so.

Blubes. xx

Hey blubs, how are you doing?
I think I found somewhere for the brows - I just googled - it's this Lovely woman who says she has been working in the industry since 17 (now in her 50s)... she said she uses bees wax which is less irritating... She was chatty on the phone. I want to stick to going around my area - but I'm sort of starting again.

I don't like to go back to where I used to live (that's where I have all my old haunts, and spots). Bit of trauma.

My hairdresser I'm going to is in that area... my friend said maybe I should cancel but I want to go still. I hope I don't get triggered just being around there. Sometimes I do, sometimes I don't. I'm very excited though and want to feel fresh and good. I would not normally treat myself to this!

It is is so nice to see how I can fill myself up - you're so right about how crucial self-care is. Yay.
Love ur suggestions on EMs thread, very nice eye!!

its hard to know about going for a tatoo - i've never got them but i like the spots you've got them on.
I'd say go for it if you feel ready!!

Yeah I don't have any tattoos and won't do it either. Not my thang at all.

BUT Alexa has ONE. From a trip she made with her friends years ago. They all have one each.

She also designed mandalas for tattoos for a while. She had her own website to sell her Art and ppl wanted them made into tattoos lol.

I'd do it.

You haven't changed your mind in 2y, so you'll just keep thinking about it.

I need to hit the sack girls.
HOT sweaty day at work.

YES THANKYOU for all your design input on my thread!

Yvette has all but totally worked out how her new bedroom will be placed with furniture and even bought a stylish bed end thing and put it together herself lol.
I'm sure she'll go nuts when she moves in there.

It'll be SO PRETTY.
She has a great design / style eye.

hey all 🙂 that will make yvette feel awesome with her new bedhead. she'll be having a nice and soothing space. No tatoos here either - but I pay attention when I see them...

Blubs the sheets I got were 600 thread count I just checked - is that too low? Maybe that's why they aren't good. They are kinda flimsy and slight, it doesn't feel very luxurious.
I'll try swap them or if I can't then just get new ones tomorrow.

Ems, Yvette sounds like shes in her element with the designing. Good for her.
Sleepy, 600tc is too low, yes. You need a 1000 at least. Obviously, the higher up, the more expensive itll be. I always go for 1000 or 15000. 1500 can get costly.
As Ems mentioned before, good manchester is expensive. I agree but youre paying for quality and endurance. Itll last longer and withstand the wash, chemicals from soaking etc.
Hmm if you dont want to spend that much, exchange them for higher thread cotton that isn't sateen. Itll still look good. Higher thread count in sateen might get costly, that's all. Try white with silky stripes on them. They're nice.
Blubes. Speak t'moz bbg. Hipe you zzz well. Just hope I can sleep well tonight. Was bit stuffy in room last night n didn't sleep well.

Yes very good sheets are expensive all right lol. I have a King sized bed so it's alot!

I bought Yvette her first brand new bed this year, she chose it. It's all white with a tallish bed head for her books etc. It's a King single, so we had to buy new sheets lol! We only had single, Queen and king sized sheets.

Never ending here.. lol.

She bought a new BED END thingy... I can't remember what they're called.
It's a piece of furniture for the end of her bed.
It's white with one half padded to sit on.

It's for her new room. But she's already put it together and have it in the right place when we move rooms.

Got work today.

We've had the air con on for 3 days and 2 nights, it's been so hot.
It's a cooler morning today, nice cool breeze this morning but I think it'll be a hot day again!

It's pretty exciting designing the Bungalow! LOL!
I've been observing the sun patterns on that spot of land down the back and put in passive solar design features.

I'm designing it for ME in mind and possibly BF and I if we need to or want to make more money on renting the big house at some point.

I thought of THE most awesome funny thing to put in there omg so fun.
The linen press will have doors on the front AND back of it.
Front to open near the bathroom & bedrooms.
Back to open in the laundry to pack the stuff in when it's clean and dry.

Designing the kitchen will be SO FUN. But I get a real kick out of designing and making stuff.

It'll be fun also bec BF and I get to do something TOGETHER even though we're so far apart.

He LOVES the huge front porch area! So do I. I want tenants to be able to have their dogs there, so a huge protected porch is lovely for pets.

Talk later dear girls

Well my gp has upped the dosage of my antidepressants as what I was on up until this morning was basically the entry level and not the standard one but I’m now on the standard dosage, has upped as per her instructions the dosage of the prescription medication to help me at night and as I’ve been more up then down she’s given me another k10 to do before I see her again to check in with how I’m going. Feel better after being on the upped dosage of the prescription medication as I slept better last night.
