Introduction - Hello Everyone

Hi all,

I'm new to this forum. I'd like to introduce myself. I'm 40 years of age, female. My interests include music (any genre), reading a great novel, watching comedy, Restuaranting, and learning new things. I suffer from depression and anxiety. Depression feels very lonely for me. I'd like to reach out for some support. Thank you.

What's on for the week??

I'm going to have to set up my new white sheets today which might be nice to set with the charcohl cover - and keep working on the bedroom - adding some colour this week or something 🙂 Seeing the therapist this week and the blow wave! Bit of self-care. Maybe go to the beautician as well - I think they are opening now but I"m not sure yet if facials are available - I just want to get my brows done which I think is okay.

Gotta keep up the self-care. These threads are really helpful - thanks Blubs great to chat here x

Hey Blubes & Sleepy and everyone

Nice colours for everything!

I've had to get "girls & boys colours" for the towels lol otherwise ppl nick each other's towels...
I got really dark grey for the boys last time (black before that)
and light coral for the girls (watermelon before that)...

But I've given up on small towels and always buy bath sheets.

I still have about 10 small towels in great condition though (lol deep turquoise ones and pure white ones) and those are for our hair.
Yvette dyed her bottom half head bright PINK this weekend lol!
It looks super cute with her blond hair.

I made an Executive decision lol (most decision are made at Family Meetings) and decided to pack each person's sheets INSIDE one pillowcase - Kon Marie style but beyond - AND they go in their clean laundry baskets to store in their rooms from now on.
At 3 sets per bed, I'm sick of them all taking up the linen closet space!

Plus sick of a dishevelled linen closet every time someone wants to find their sheets that usually someone else has taken lol!

They're packed neatly as a SET inside a pillowcase so they can just grab the packed pillowcase and abracadabra it's all there.

With those cleared out eventually, I can put the huge beach towels (I buy the sheet size of those too) inside our linen press.

Maybe even an appliance or 2 but I've cleared most of them out of the house.

I'm just working this week as per.
Minding Alexa's dog till Wed / Thurs and then again on Sat night for her "Ramen Date" lol.
Heaps of appts for health & MH on my day's off. Plus my oldies gathering Thursday lol and I HAVE TO bring my poodle this week, they all said.

Thank goodness my Uncle isn't coming till the week after.

NB: Got an email from my bank saying I've got equity to reborrow lol!
I'm pretty broke atm, so that's ridiculous.
BF begins drawing up plans for our "BUNGALOW" aka cabin lol... tomorrow!

Halo, halo Sleeping beauty,
Yeh, hes made pene Bolognese peas. Ive never had it with peas before. It was good - only just coated the pasta, just the way I like it. Not too rich. Got soft music in the background...listening to 'letting the cables sleep' by Bush - cafe del mar version.
Normally, we don't take turns. I do most of the cooking during the week days. He cooks during week day at times but not often.
No, he doesn't bring any friends over. Not even his gf (if she is indeed his gf, idk). Hes been in the country for 3 years, so like us he hasnt got many friends either.
I like my workouts - im used to working out, been maintaining my body and weight since I was in my 20s. I feel good for it bc if i didn't Id feel like a sloth. Thats just me.
Some family members will do that. Not caring, no love .. Its so sad. I envy those with a goid one. Im not blessed with one either.
The pressence .. Yes. Its nice. Im upstairs on BB responding. Hes downstairs watching the sports hes streamed.
He was a smartie pants this evening. I pretended to belt him up in the kitch lol. Hes been cheecky all day with me.
Sleepy, if you want ppl around you, just do it. I didn't think I wanted any tbh...I was worried about bad ppl and wanted my own space but as youve said, just the pressence I find comforting. Knowing that hes in the home, at home gives me a sense of protection as well. Of course it helps if you get along.

Good girl. Yes, I believe facials have started back up. Itll be a relaxing n nice treat for yourself. Blow wave would be just as nice. Spoil yourself, gf .. Self care is so important. Brow places are open, yes. I get mine done too. So, youve inspired me to reshape mine. Ill go this week.
What do you think of white sheets against dark charcoal? I like it.
This week I think I might get a tattoo on my wrist (rh) what do you women think?

I'm doing my own facial stuff and well... ALL things like that lol.

Money is a huge restriction atm but I'm going to take 2 week's Leave (maybe 3!) around my School Reunion next year. 1 - 2 weeks before to get the house cleaned up and to do "fancy things" like get my hair done, have a facial, maybe a massage and spray tan lol.
Then a week after to recover!
Some friends may be staying a tad longer.

My eye brows are defined and very dark brown already. Luckily I've never needed to fuss and had nothing done to them ever (I used to pluck 3 hairs on one eyebrow and 2 on the other lol).
Ppl ask me where I get them done.
I don't. One less thing to do, grateful for that! lol.

Alexa asked me to do her make up and is paying for a Consultation which includes the same value in cosmetics afterwards and it's so funny she's doing that!
ALL these years later after I gave up asking her if I could put make up on her!

I used to be a make up consultant.

Now she's asking me to.

She has beautiful clear olive skin, really no need for foundation.
Her skin is so beautiful and naturally hairless! No hairs to speak of on her arms and legs just like my Nanna lol.
HUGE natural eyelashes.

It'll be fun trying out eye make up styles on her eye lids.

Big plump lips I think would look great with darker than natural lip liner and a bit of low sheen gloss.

Anyway her first ever make up buying trip lol!

Yvette is ALWAYS buying make up!
Plus she took all my stuff too lol.
She is very fair.

All the boys girlfriends DON'T wear make up lol! Like AT ALL.
They certainly went for girls just like their mum and older sister.

IF I put on make up it's foundation, mascara and lippy to work.

I wear it if I go out at night to a span dangly place.

Otherwise just ALWAYS SPF and nothing else.

Plus I wear a hat even to take rubbish to the bins!

I park down the street at work to get more steps in and wear a hat to and from the car.
That reminds me, I need a skin check.

The reason I asked for all your advice on tattoo on my rh wrist (would only be small) is because this will be my first exposed tattoo. Ive got 3 already and theyre all hidden. Ive thought about this exposed one for 3 years now and feel like I want to do it. Itll be of a cursive word 'strength' to signify the horrid times ive been through in the last 5 years.. Itll constantly remind me to have strength & courage.

Whats the thoughts on the tatoo? i have mixed feeling about them but can see they are very girly in certian spots... i like that spot behind the wrist and also kinda like behind the neck and on the ankle. It doesn't dominate nor is it easily noticable...

hey blubs - maybe its better that he only has a few friends and he doesn't bring over loads of people 🙂 that bush song version sounds great. I like that kind of music.

My brows need a bit of love at the moment, I used to go pretty frequently, so thanks Blubs we are inspiring each other 🙂
I have to find a new place to go because I've only lived in this area since the pandemic and over that time everything was closed - I haven't really researched what's good here. The hair dresser I found was pretty amazing, but that was from someone who told me about him. Maybe I'll ask my neigbour where she goes, she's pretty fancy.

EM re doing your own skincare - have you ever used raw honey as a facemask? I find it pretty amazing! It has microbial properties and my old beautician said she uses it too...I'm scared and wary about what stuff I put on my skin because it's sensitive, so I like using on occasion natural things. I don't know what's in these products sometimes... and I break out. You can make all sorts of natural face masks with honey, greek yoghurt and avacodo but I haven't been that brave... I just use the honey 🙂

I've been sleeping terribly and feeling a bit over everything but napped today and felt a bit better. I just needed to zone out.

hey blubs - i love the charchol and white together it is amazing, thank u

I dont like the sateen white sheets i bought though, they said hotel quality they are kinda bad and tacky. I don't think they are the real deal. I'm going to try get a bit of a thicker kind. But the colours are beauty personified.
