Should I just suck this up?

OK, this isn't easy for me to write bcas I respect police also but this is my situation.

I aparantly unlawfully entered a friends property, that's right a friends property. He wasn't home and I wasn't believed. Anyhow I was put in a mental institution. I preferred the hospital choice over the police station choice thinking I'll be in there for a couple weeks.

3 months later I came out overmedicated feeling like shite...misdiagnosed with a mental illness as a " safety net" seriously!!!!

3 months of my life where I couldn't work, and live my normal life. Inclosed in a small space, going crazy.

Should I just " suck this up". ?

hey mm

was a nice warm and sunny day here - hope u had the same

congrats on ur new badge - yes ur words are so valuable!

Hi all,

Hope all is well, or if you're just having a day ( good or bad) that's just how life goes doesn't it.

I was really excited about the 4wd I bought then it wouldn't start. I had Rd side assistance come out, jump start it, battery's, good, looks like the alarm is draining the battery. Had an auto- electrician come out, noticed that water comes into the car when it rains ( yep, seller kept that one quiet) even though seals look good and thinks I could have a big problem on my hands if water has been getting into the electrical box. He thinks the seller knew about this hence why the car was for sale.
He says I could re-sell it and get my $$$ back.

I'm just not that type of person. I wouldn't do that to someone even though it's potentially been done to me and even though that's what lots of ppl do and is recommended to do.

So, yeah....

Ppl have problems! Not happy Jan.

Why do something dodgy to someone else for money. It's not right.

Hopefully if the auto- electrician takes the alarm out and we find a way to stop water coming into the car ( mystery) then I can drive it again, or if the electrics are faulty I might have been sold a lemon.

Monkey

hope they can fix your car.

I wonder when people know something is dodgy but sell without being honest, why do they do that.

my dad always got an NRMA inspection done before buying secondhand .

Not sure they do those inspections anymore.

Hey monkey

Such crap news about the car sweetie, awful.

I really hope you can get it sorted and have your awesome car back again!

Hi Quirky, Em and all!!

I'm also not sure if NRMA does that but in future I'll be taking an auto electrician/mechanic bcas the guy I used was able to spot a lot more than my friend and I could.

The alternator, belt, oil filter, oil have now been replaced and all up it cost $1045.

He said the belt was close to snapping and the car hasn't been serviced in years. He said it's been very neglected. Wow. It looks great because it was all cleaned up but looks can be deceiving.

It started today and he now thinks the alternator was the problem upon closer look.

I was really happy with myself for having the money to pay him and he didn't charge me for all of his labour, he is a good man.

The guy that sold me the car lied to me and I was ripped off.

Will only make me wiser.

Monkey... with a mind like yours, LIFE teaches us these lessons and most of us have certainly BEEN THERE...

Only a thousand? Pretty cool lol.

SO HAPPY it started now and absolutely looks can be deceiving, not only in CARS.... but ppl, houses, anything.

Yep NRMA does do pre purchase checks here still, it costs a bit but if you're serious about a car, I think it's worth it.

My mechanic offers the same service.

BUT if you got a great auto electrician then KEEP HIM.
I think they've got a stack of knowledge about cars in general and with so many cars now having MUCH more electrical stuff... he'd know.

I've FINALLY got a great mechanic, an ANGELIC tyre guy (who's loaded and is SO honest!), great gardener, magical chiro and now today a pretty amazing tree lopper lol.

Bestest wishes monkey, hope your car goes great now..
