Hey when I posted about NY
being no good it was because W was sick, again, hectic times, no good 😞

He is ok now though. He’s rolling so much, turn your back for a minute and he’s gone, and we’ve started him on some solids too. H is well too, busy busy but everyday I come home from work and I’m in awe of what she does for us and how motherhood suits her so well.

I’m ok, haven’t been surfing much the smoke has meant we can’t really go outside much, yesterday and today is a bit better though. Just thinking lots about my brother lately, both my brothers actually I’m finding it tough. Getting to a tricky time of year, with t and then my step brother is making life difficult for my parents which is no suprise, so frustrating.

The smoke has been horrid, can't imagine what it is like for people everywhere impacted in some way by the fires. We may all be thankful when winter arrives!

Sorry to read your thoughts are impacting you regarding your brothers. Hope your step brother settles down and your parents have a break.

I wanted to go to the beach the other day but was too tired to drive the 1 1/2 hours to get there. The thought of having to drive home again in greater traffic was too much so I stayed home.

It’s an ongoing battle Dools 😞 He will be well and then downhill very quickly, poor little thing

It is not nice but there is many people who have been living with the horrid smoke for months and months so the inconvenience for a couple of days is not a big deal.

We live in a small coastal town and found that it was only awfully busy for about 4 days. Obviously as soon as it gets about 30 on a weekend it is busy but apart from that we had a very busy but short peak. Still people around and will be until the end of Jan but lots of people went back to work this week or last so it quietened down very shortly are NY. It doesn’t bother, its part of living here, not like this all the time, us our place backs onto the beach and any jobs we have to do in town one of us will go early or in the evening.

Hi Jackson,

I dream of living close to the beach! My parents live only a 5 minute walk to a beautiful beach and I don't think they ever go there. As a kid, I don't remember my Dad ever going to the beach and Mum only once or twice. The like the cool ocean breeze in their home and like looking at the ocean.

Some places do get busy around holiday times. My parents are in a small coastal town as well and they can have thousands of people descend on their region summer holidays.

It must be exciting watching W grow up and change ever so slightly each day or each week.

The thing is 50 weeks of the year we live in a town known as one with the oldest population in the region if not state, so if for 2 weeks holiday makers come in and liven the place up a little then that’s fine we can live with that...

Yeah W amazes me everyday he is doing so many things now. H and I have started doing a 5km community run/walk event each Saturday, its not on where we live but about 10 minutes down the road, we both just feel like we don’t have a lot of friends in the area so it’s a nice way to connect with others. Heaps of people run, walk, take kids and dogs and all that. So we’ve all been going and just walking the trail, so many people stop to say hello to him he loves it, laps up the attention.
