Hey Jackson,
I'm here, it's ok, you will be ok.
What is scaring you? Are you ok now, are you at home alone? Tell me how you are feeling.

ok, take some deep breaths and focus on something, anything, a sound, the feel of something.
with your dr i would print this thread and show him/her. you may be referred to a counsellor and that is fine. It sounds like you have anxiety/panic attacks, a counsellor will help you work out the triggers. The fear of the unknown is always scary.
What do you want to talk to your mum about? Is it the school situation mainly, that you don't want to go to uni? Maybe just sit down with her one on one and tell her how you feel and that you feel pressured, explain the anxiety it is causing and that you need help dealing with it.
do you live with housemates or alone?

Hiya Jackson
I'm glad you're going to see a doctor and yes you can take someone in with you for support. If that's going to be your mum, try to talk things through with her first, so she's there to support you, not dealing with her own worry and surprise.
Do you have a friend you trust? That's another option. Sometimes when we take our closest person in we end up not saying what we need to say because we're protecting them.
TRy not to worry about medication if that's what your doc decides mate - lots of people have to take medicines for a while, like we do when we're physically sick, but it doesn't have to be forever. Might just take a short while to get you back on track. If the doc suggests a psychologist that's a really good idea. That will give you a chance to talk openly and safely with someone who can guide you in how to help yourself.
I agree with CMF about printing this out for your doctor, and if you see a counsellor or psychologist it's a good starting point for them too.
I'm off to bed now, early start tomorrow. I hope you sleep well tonight mate. And thank you for staying with us Jackson. It's really nice getting to know you.

yeah i get that. Many of us hide our anxiety and wear a mask in front of others. It just makes it all harder as it compounds the problem. How long have you actually been feeling like this? You've mentioned it's getting harder bit when did it start do you think?
How are you tonight? Are you feeling anxious?
